I have a 2018 Amcrest IP2M-858W I want to save the camera setting using export and Import. However, this option in the camera's setting no longer works as it was a Chrome plugin app that allowed you to do this and it no longer supported by Amcrest.

I looked up the Amcrest API http:// commands and found-
It worked and I was able to back up my Amcrest camera configuration settings! YES!!

Now to restore the backed up exported Amcrest camera configuration file. I tried this api http://192.168.1.108/cgi-bin/configMana ... es[0]=UPnP command and I received the error message "Error Bad Request".

So, how do you restore your saved backed up Amcrest camera configuration settings??

Hello, I know your question is somewhat old. I don't look on here often. To answer your question. In truth the best thing to do for most of the cameras is use WebUI and do the Export and Import from there. I have not been able to do any CGI back up or restore using API.. I know this isn't what you want to hear. I have tried many different things many different formats and using Amcrest or Dahua either one I can export just never found a import even using the API export file will fail trying to import over WebUI. IF you have Dahua IP config tool, You can also use that tool to export and import for your Amcrest Cameras. I have done both just now on my TD2685EW-AI camera using both WebUI and IP Config tool.
