Hi,

I have a Amcrest AD410 doorbell.

I can successfully power it up using a MicroUSB cable connected to a USB hub.

However, I then tried using a PoE to MicroUSB adapter:

and the unit did not power on with this adapter.

The PoE to MicroUSB adapter is meant to be able to put out 5V at up to 2A (i.e. 10 watts).

Any ideas on why this didn't work with the Amcrest AD410, but a normal MicroUSB cable from a hub did?

Have you tried another 5VDC device on the adapter to see if it's not defective?

I wouldn't expect the AD410 to work on 5VDC / USB anyway; your other post => Does the Amcrest AD410 take 24V DC? and the specs you linked state that it takes "AC16V~AC24V, DC12V~DC24V."
