Ever wondered what a 40x zoom camera module would look like, this 1/1.8in sensor camera with 40x zoom is huge. Dated 2021, in for repair. Thought I would take a picture before I break it out of its cage. Need to get to nand chip and cpu in it. Massive the pan and tilt motors are huge also. I mean the wiper motor is almost as big as my 2 and 4mp ptz stepper motors lol

Ouch the SoC has been sanded off so can't go find datasheet for the chip to find out what is what lol good news, not tested yet need more desk space to test it, but the Uart is connector soldered to back of camera module block so others having to fix one of these knows Uart is reachable on the back of block on PCB... No need to remove unit from cage and could access from just taking off back of housing head.

Interesting looking little deeper into this today, I found that the SoC isn't sanded after all. What caught my eye when I took the plate back off and took all the cooling pads off the SoC and Nand was that the SoC didn't look right, Come to find out that they put Black Tape over the SoC, nice enough of them to keep the chip intact.. Anyway bad news for me at this moment is that it isn't a HiSil chip but is a CV22-A1-RH built in 2020.. Grr. Well I will not let this get the best of me lol.. Before I just pulled the cooling pad up and seen smooth black surface thought it was classic sand job lol..

Got the FW I guess it was CEEN version. Still working to get it unlocked to get the FW installed again. Thanks to the owner from owner of the camera. Model DH-SD8A840-HNF-PA
