I am glad he is OK and he certainly had an Angel watching over him, that's for damn sure. I have shot and humped the M2 quite a lot. I have the UTMOST respect for the .50 caliber round and machine gun. I understand that he did not know that the round was that hot, but I would NEVER shoot a .50 caliber round out of such a 'skimpy' device. Never, ever. But that's just me.
