Yeah, this showed up last week in another thread.

Homeowner must be somewhat high-strung or strung out on drugs to go as far as he did.....several lives ruined.:confused:

That's a pretty careless assumption on your part. Being awaken by someone or ones making a ruckus and trying to go through my door at 3 am you better believe I'm going to defend myself. It has nothing to do with being high strung or being strung out on drugs.

For sure.
We’ve got cats, they hide under the bed when I sneeze. Thus perimeter sensors 25-30 ft from entry paths with a loud alarm next to my noggin

So the homeowner got charged for shooting someone seemingly breaking down his door?

I'm guessing this is either a state that doesn't allow a castle style defence or maybe other factors are in play.
