16 IP cams that are NVR-less (thx nightowl)

My nightowl NVR just died on me and I have 16 wired IP cameras around my property now collecting dust, nightowl tech support is telling me to buy a whole new system however I refuse to believe that I cannot put a new/different NVR in its place and bring my system back to life, The NVR is is model # H5B-323-RS and the cameras are model #H54MPW-BU-RS. From what I understand the equipment is Onvif compliant however I do not believe it is registered with Onvif.
Anyone have any tips and/or point me in the right direction. Thank you

It is always best to match camera and nvr brand to ensure full capability.
