Should I consider reinstall of Blue Iris?

I honestly don't remember how it was originally set up, I'm not very skilled with PC's. But since it stopped running on start up I've run it as Administrator, as a service, I've used task scheduler, put it in start up items and Blue Iris never starts up after a restart.

Should I consider reinstall of Blue Iris?

Yes, I have an SSD drive but it's being utilized in another application at the moment. I forgot to mention also, my Blue Iris no longer restarts itself when restarting the computer.... it used to and it just stopped!

Should I consider reinstall of Blue Iris?

I am having the worst time with my Blue Iris set up! I have a 4 tb surveillance drive in order and when I install that into my computer I am considering a total reinstall of Blue Iris. I had Blue Iris set up for a Dahua POE camera and everything was working fine. I had the weather overlay from...

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

Yes, I might try a Hikvision this time. I'm going to message the seller and see about a repair/replacement, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

Yes, I used the 568 standard when I made my cables. But now that I have the camera unmounted and sitting on a table for testing I am using a pre-made cable. I was able to locate the reset switch on the camera board but Dahua config tool still won't see the camera. The ir flashes every once in a...

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

I've tried everything, and noting sees the camera anymore, the Config tool from Dahua can't even find it. I did find a reset button on the board though. We'll see if that helps!

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

I got it apart and there is a reset switch.... I'm gonna see if that solves the problem! Maybe at least the Config tools will see the camera again, that would be a start.

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

I'll have to see if I can get it apart to look for a reset switch. I tried unscrewing the cam, but I'll have to investigate how exactly it comes apart.

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

I have one of those, but no that's not what is testing it, the Linksys switch actually tests the wiring. If I unplug the cam then it gives an open error, with the cam plugged in it says the "copper" tests good. And the camera is down and on a table with the computer, switch etc. and I'm using...

OMG I can't figure this out!! Dahua cam bricked?

Let me start off by saying I am a noob to IP Cams, most of my experience is from the old analog cameras and DVR's. That also means that I know how addicting having a security camera system can be! Let me start off with the specs of my system: Lenovo K450e with an i7 4790 processor running at...

Recommend to me a good POE+ Switch

Thanks Fenderman.... I have been seeing a lot of SSD's on sale lately.... I have one in my Wife's computer and they really are fast, she will be switching to a laptop so I might steal the SSD out of her desktop. Thanks again for the tip!

Recommend to me a good POE+ Switch

I purchased a Nortel Baystack 5520-48T-PWR 48 port POE switch, it is a managed switch - from Ebay. This is a very well built product that I got used cheaper than some of the new, lesser port models. ( I wanted something I would probably never outgrow) YES, they are very loud! I have it mounted...

Help with Dahua IPC-HDW4300C - No sound on PC

Hello all... I'm hoping someone can help solve my sound problem! I have a Dahua DH-IPC-HDW4300C-0360B Part Number 1.0.01.04.3535, it's the only camera I have at the moment. I'm running the full version of Blue Iris, release 4.2.4.3 x64, on a Lenovo K450e with an i7-4790 processor (3.6GHz...

    New to IP Cams

O.K., strange development.... We were scheduled to have thunderstorms last night (and boy did we!) So I unplugged everything. Just on a whim today I plugged the ethernet cable back into port one and powered the system on. That port is working again!! Weird! but I'll take it.

    New to IP Cams

bp2008 - The yellow looks good on our monitor, it just didn't photograph very well. I'm not sure what happened to port one, but at least I have 46 other ports to choose from... I just hope I don't see more and more fail in the near future - that would make me sad, very sad. And it would make me...

Jsr182 - I believe so, I've not really messed with any of the settings for the camera yet since I still have to finish grounding my cameras. And to me that is a big deal, since we've had several storms that have fried our oven, XBoxOne, LED deck lights, microwave oven, subwoofer, AppleTV and...

    Impressed with Dahua cameras!

My old system was analog, and after recently deciding to set up security cameras in our home we purchased 3 years ago I pulled out my old analog system. When I decided to test the cameras I found that first, it was a mis-mosh of camera manufacturers, all types sizes etc. second - they SUCKED...

    New to IP Cams

Thanks for the info.... At this time I have no cameras operating on Wi-Fi. Very strange, I turned my system back on and waited for my switch to power up completely... port 1 (where I have the Dahua cam plugged in) did not have any lights flickering to show activity. I switched the ethernet...

    New to IP Cams

Hello, I have experience with analog cameras, but since we just bought a new house about 3 years ago I decided to do it right and put my analog security recorder in the closet! I am still installing my network set-up in the basement (Nortel BayStack 5520-48T-PWR 48 Gig POE Switch, a Lenovo i7...
