Dahua Firmware Mod Kit + Modded Dahua Firmware

Anyone knows if the NVR5216-4KS2 firmware can be successfully modified? I would like to modify the diagnose tool so I can drop into a busybox shell.

Hikvision with possible water ingress in the connector

Hi @mat200 ! All cabling is inside hard tubing (PVC, outdoor rated), surface mounted, and it goes inside a screw on tight seal cap in the junction box. The box with the ingress and the coupler is sitting several feet under, under cover, but the water trickled down and there was no drip loop...

Hikvision with possible water ingress in the connector

Hey, The camera was fine. The problem was a CAT6 coupler inside a box. Even if the contacts seem OK after cleaning and removing dust, inside it was a goner. So, note for everyone: if you use couplers, wrap them in self fusing tape... I will get a PoE passthrough switch when my friend can help...

Hikvision with possible water ingress in the connector

Hello! I have a Hikvision I installed with a friend, one of the ColorVue models. Over the weekend with heavy rains it went offline in the evening and never came back. Now it only briefly springs back to life if I adjust link negotiation for the ethernet port to 10Mbps Full Duplex (yes...)...

Enable/Disable Privacy Masking using the Dahua HTTP API

Got it! For the 2.x API: /cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&PrivacyMasking[0][1].Enable=false To retrieve the config and see how many slots are present: /cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=PrivacyMasking The neat thing is that you can deactivate/activate WITHOUT removing...

Enable/Disable Privacy Masking using the Dahua HTTP API

This does not seem to work with a PTZ camera (supports mosaic and "color lump"). Do you know what's the right target instead of the videoWidget?

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

So, I can confirm that the camera has issues with connecting out to the mail server. It isn't a firewall problem. The camera itself is doing the TCP handshake and something is off, length is 0 always, then it dies out with no actual data transferred. Same VLAN with Dahua cams, they all work...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

BTW another issue: the same settings that work for my Dahua cams with SMTP... they aren't functioning in this one. I will come back later with more information.

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

This is what I have: It isn't clear at all what common means, and the time brackets also don't seem very intuitive, is that for day period? night?

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

Great resource! The question that remains for me is about the auto/scheduled switches. How do I configure those? ex. day/night. The UI is extremely confusing to that end. How can I set specific values for night mode and then day mode?

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

Thank you Andy! I'm having some issues configuring the exposure and so on. Mostly to get the right quality at night time. I wonder what others recommend for my case. It's a backyard with indirect light behind it. I also have domotics-controlled floor lights in it. The auto/scheduled switch UI...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

Interested in this, I have a majority of Dahua cams and plan on buying a Dahua NVR... but I have this camera too and I would like to know how to integrate it (and even better if it can do motion detection with the NVR).

    New Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202.zip

I can confirm the boot loop, and there is no way to figure out what is wrong with the card. Note that it worked just fine before with the older fw. All I did was issue a reformat after upgrading.

    New Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202.zip

Anyone else had their SD card stop being recognized? With a HDW-4231 this is happening to me after the upgrade. All cameras are using legit/genuine Samsung Evo Select cards.
