Would love to know if your new camera has built in microphone and this Qsee 8816 NVR recegonize it and is capable of recording audio. Some sellers on Aliexpress list and sell exact camera you purchased and in their description says audio in and out.

I tried my logictech anywhereMX wireless mouse, but no luck. What model and brand of wireless mouse you're using.

what do you have plugged in into usb port on the back of the unit..... is it wifi or bluetooth usb conntoller for the mouse?

I took power supply apart, and took fan out, the fan noise alone makes noise of over 45dba. Qsee should really be ashamed of themselves of approving such a loud power supply.

I will try to flip the fan and see if that helps to reduce overall noise. My unit have also clips on the harness cables but esata cable itself is glued into hard drive.

It seems to me Qsee is making some revisions or these systems are produced in different factories in China. I do not understand why would they glue the fan to the case and also why would they glue eSata cable to the hard drive. This NVR is way too loud for home use. I had contacted Qsee but...

Fair enough, but if you decide to do it, there are only 2 screws which are holding casing and then the top easily slides out. :)

Anywhere close to 60dba and above for 300W power supply is loud in my opinion and should be rectified by Qsee or the product should be marked for industrial / business use. In a server room environment or designated room with good ventilation this might be acceptable but for home personal use is...

I wonder if anyone here successfully connected external microphone to Qsee 8816 NVR and was able to listen and record audio....would love to be able to do that. On the other note, how do you deal and feel about loud noise the power supply is making, is there a way to replace and install better...

You can listen but you can't record audio, I spoke already about this issue with Qsee. I was told the only way to record with 8816 NVR would be thru camera with microphone built in. Possibly they had disabled recording on external microphone by making revision in firmware. I wonder if Dahua NVR...

Does anybody know which Dahua camera with built microphone will work with Costco Qsee 8816 nvr. Is Dahua IPC-HDW4300C or Dahua IPC-HDW4300E compatible with Qsee 8816 nvr? The only camera listed on the Qsee website which they say is compatible is QCN8028D but that it does not have infrared.
