I have changed the Media ports of my ip cameras in the web interface as suggested. After that I forwarded the ports in my modem. Still the cameras won't show up in IVMS-4500. Any help appreciated.

How can I use IVMS-4500 with multiple ip cameras? Do I need to forward each media port (8000)?

I have the same issue with iOS. I can only connect when on same local network. But outside it doesn't. I've forwarding ports, restarted modem, re-install IVMS-4500. Still nothing.

RJ45 pins HIKVISION cable wires I have a HIKVISION IP camera which doesn't operate anymore due to missing RJ45 pin. As you can see in the attached picture pin 6 is broken. What I am looking for is a diagram how to repair the cable. I hope you can help me.

I agree tinycam (pro) has been improved. Unfortunately it's not iOS but with Android it also supports Chromecast now. To me this is nice because I often want to monitor on big screen.

Thnx for the replies. I downloaded IP cam viewer for ios and it works OK. For Android I use tinycam monitor which I personally find it more reliable. Haven't use IVMS-4500 yet. Will try that too. BTW, why are there so many different versions of IVMS? Also I see ezviz app. Anyone using this...

I also found hikvision ds 2cd2d14wd. But unfortunately it doesn't have PoE.

Only thing you can do is try the TFTP way with a working firmware (5.1.6 seems to work all the time). And never ever upgrade via webpage again. Let us know if it work.

i tried the mtd hack but DS-2CD3942F-I but the menu doesn't show the multiple view options anymore. Could somebody share the original 5.2.1 (Chinese) firmware so that I can TFTP to the original state? Has someone succeeded to update DS-2CD3942F-I with english menu yet?

If you're a real man then you should know that men never reads the manual or instructions. That's why most of the post is about wrong firmware updates here... So please help by posting links to the right thread instead of being rude.

5.1.6 indeed works! Only issue is that this firmware is not safe because you can get a snapshot without authentication in the browser

Is it possible to share the required mtd files? That makes the hacking process more efficient and without errors. Or am I thinking too simple?
