How to use the built in Hikvision motion detection instead of the Blue Iris motion detection?

A tip for others... This has recently stopped working again for me for some camera. I noticed there's 2 new text boxes to the right of "ONVIF Source:". I noticed the cameras which had stopped working had "VideoSource_1" in both boxes I changed those to be the same as the working cameras which...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I got my Hikvisions (ColorVu) to cooperate with blue iris triggering off the camera motion detection (and working with substreams) by using this:-

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I would have intuitively thought that but they've been running fine for several months, completely unchanged (no firmware updates etc) right up until I installed the latest version of BI last night. All cams are running h265 andeither 10 or 15fps (with substream and main stream both at same...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I finally paid to renew my support for a year and upgraded to 5.2.9.19 and using substreams. I like the upgrade from 5.2.7.9 giving me the substream live video until the the full stream is up and running rather than a freeze on the substream. Anyway, I've noticed an issue which seems to now...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I have same issue, mine ran out 28th April 2020, yet It let me upgrade to 5.2.7.9 (08th May 2020), but no further, 5.2.7.10-12 give the same problem for me. I've now just left it on 5.2.7.9 which seems to work for me now. I'll wait until 5.2.7.x becomes mainsteam - presumably lots of people will...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I updated from 5.2.7.9 to 5.2.7.10 and noticed that my licence code disappeared and it kept plastering evaluation version across my images. If you click the register button, it then fills in your licence key, but still doesn't work. (running as service, but doesn't work running and GUI either)...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I've been looking at all sorts of ways to reduce CPU usage with 6x 4MP Hikvision ColorVu cameras. Using subtream, down from 45% CPU usage to 7-10% CPU usage! My Parameter so substream:- /Streaming/Channels/102?transportmode=unicast&profile=Profile_1 Shows low quality in small view, then when...

How to use the built in Hikvision motion detection instead of the Blue Iris motion detection?

I've been reading this thread, trying for hours to get this working with my HikVision cameras after following the instructions above. It turns out, my mistake was trying to manually enter the Make and model of the HikVision Camera. Also my Media profile was blank. In the end, I hit the...

Thanks, I'll set that up for now. Would be good to know if such a feature might be added in future though.

Ability to record continuously but then only archive the motion?

Hi, I've been using blue iris now for a few years. I've always been recording only motion but recently have noticed I've missed events occasionally. I do store a few months but this is only motion. I want to record 24/7 but only have enough space for maybe a few days. Would it be possible (and...

    Got my Dahua 4MP IPC-HDBW4421R-AS 2.8mm

I've noticed now that occasionally my Dahua is switching automatically from H264/H264H modes to MJPEG mode (main stream). Could possibly be related to being viewed via http protocol. Anyone with one of these got any ideas of what can be done to rectify this, since MJPEG seems to noticeably drop...

    Got my Dahua 4MP IPC-HDBW4421R-AS 2.8mm

I've bought and just received one of these. I don't have POE installed yet, but it powers nicely off a 12v adaptor from an old netgear router. The picture quality is pretty good from the main viewer in a browser on a PC, but there's a lot of colour banding when viewing from a generic android app...
