    Some evaluation questions

also just read in the "choosing hardware section" of this website and noted area in bold might be applicable to your situation--- Server CPUs (Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, etc) and Multiple Sockets(top) Generally speaking, if you can appreciate (and afford) an enterprise-grade server platform, your...

    Some evaluation questions

Wow! Now I'm jealous---that is a beast of a system (wait, is this the NSA?). Wish I possessed the knowledge to help, but it's over my pay grade. I would however recommend that you contact blue iris help first. Takes a day to get reply (and not sure about trial copy response) but they are...

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

Sorry, but one other comment just in case it may help someone researching. I did try the Yoosee DB with the wifi interface during my original setup test. This was with an excellent wifi signal in the same room as the router---I personally would not recommend wifi interface. It just was not...

Dec 2020 - Comparison of RTSP Doorbells

Please allow me to add a correction. The port on the Yoosee is poe and data---it works with a single cat 5/6 poe cable plugged into the back of the doorbell from your source. While there is a splitter included in the camera package (as well as a separate power cable that could alternately be...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

I just uploaded a new capture from the doorbell cam. Please note that it was down scaled to 720p due to upload limits. It is a composite of several different scenes showing morning with sun on camera, day/evening, and night. The only time it shifted to B&W was during a pretty significant...

Doesn't seem to matter. I tested it right next to POE switch first before installing. It is now in a junction box about 1/3 of the way in the run (maybe 30 ft out of 90 ft.

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Thanks, Found online--Amazon I think for about $17--I'll check when I get back. Not sure since I had my son order some things for me. Securityseeker, it does freeze where they live, but figured for that little $ I'd try it. (I actually had a couple buck stepdown transformers in the garage at...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Ok put pics of install in media area. Had not cleaned up the cabling and labels yet, but will finish up today. The doorbell cam hasn't been off since my posts a few weeks ago and has worked flawlessly. I will probably move the cam location and play around with it later today.

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Hello all. Finally traveled back to where the cam is and did a little more wiring. It has been up and running good for quite some time now. I now have it connected to a POE switch, although I did use an inline device from Ubiquity that steps voltage down from 48v to 24v just to be sure the smoke...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Vandyman---you ever get your doorbell working? SecuritySeeker---I finally got a reply from Gwell support although it makes little to no sense out of the poe question??? I had asked about 24v/48v poe and 802.3 af/at connection and voltage limitations. I don't know if the translation was just...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Yeah, and it's darn hard to get that smoke back in. (just kidding). That was when I was playing around with it before I had taken it apart and fixed the focus---thought at that time it was such a crappy picture I would try the smart injector just to see if it would work or smoke? Definitely...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

I was a bit hesitant to hook up to 48v smart injector at first given the 8-36v spec, but either it (the poe injector) is smart enough to negotiate voltage and current requirement or the doorbell just handled the excess? I would probably use a 24v injector or just the included power supply and...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

The cam was packaged with a small 12v 1A power supply as well as a passive poe injector (just a Ethernet cable with a power plug pigtail), and a couple cables for options. There is a 12v 2 pin connector on the back of the doorbell in addition to the Ethernet port. I tested it with the 12v pins...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Yeah, my biggest ding now would be the audio, which I admit I haven't spent any time working on. And it's literally sitting temporarily on the porch bannister supported by the cat 5 cable. Maybe cheap, but not bad for $66. And zones/triggering works good in BI so lots of possibilities. I know...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

SecuritySeeker here is the night video. (about all I can get here, staying at someone else's house while traveling.) There is a street light just a little way down the street---It's dark out, but sure looks bright in the capture. In the mid of the capture, I turned on a single porch light...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Sounds like my original problem with being out of focus optically---SecuritySeeker pointed me in right direction and made a tremendous difference. The only way I could get to work with BI was very specific settings in my earlier post. Add camera, put in camera's ip, user=admin and password=the...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

If anyone is still interested, here is another capture from the Yoosee doorbell. I've got it set up temporary to play with some more. One other thing of interest is that for some reason it was dropping the stream on Bi. Got a recommendation to try to uncheck the box for send RSTP keep alives...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Interesting read, funny I had not paid much attention to de-warping. I'll have to go back and look. The difference in clip is probably me. I clip the exported (thru Blue Iris) captured video in Pinnacle Studio so it only is a short file (and cuts my handsome mug out to spare everyone's...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

What a difference. Thank you Security Seeker. A couple of tweaks and wow! I didn't take time to remount it and do much AND really different conditions from outside this morning when it was bright and sunny. Now early evening and overcast and yes, that is rain falling. (Dang, still haven't...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

DAMN---fine call SecuritySeeker. Lens is threaded, but there is a set screw on side between the two mainboards but is a bit of a pain to get to. However image is already much easier on the eyes---almost in focus. I may need to play around with it a few times, but an amazing improvement...
