HA was not enable in the Cameras tab under the settings. I also explicitly disabled it per camera now, although I don't see how that will make a difference since I have no hardware that supports HA in the server.

The cameras are connected to an access switch that is also POE. The BI server is also connected to the same switch. There are no SD cards in the cameras. I tried playing back the recording via app and in BI on the server, and the artifacts are visible both ways. I can rollback but not exactly...

According to Hikvision RTSP Stream URLs, 102 is the correct for substream. If I try to use 101, the CPU utilization does not drop.

What is the correct path for substream 1? /Streaming/Channels/101?

It seems like if I remove the substream completely on the cameras it fixed the artifacting on the recordings. I don't understand why the substream would affect the main stream at all. Now I just get 2-3x the CPU utilization. :confused:

Tried 15fps with 60 i-frame. Looks the same.

The only profile options are Main or High. I'll try the I-Frame change.

Looks like it's still happening. The odd part is it only occurs during motion and it's consistently on the edge areas.

I'm not using GPU since the Ryzen CPU is beefy enough to handle the cameras. Also, I'm using dual channel for the memory, so that is not a handicap. I will try the recommendations for dealing with artifacts. I also bumped the shutter speed to 1/150 from 1/30 to see if that improves the ghosting.

The strange part is I've had these cameras for a few years now. I was previously using a Xeon E5-2630v3 server with Nvidia P2000 for encode/decode. It did not have this artifact issue. However, after I rebuilt the server this started happening on all cameras.

Nvidia hardware decoder.

Just upgraded to BI5 and everything seems to be working with the exception of NVDEC. It seems to be limited 4 cameras now whereas before it was working for all 8 at the same time. Anyone else having this problem or know of a fix?

Getting the same thing. I'm using GT 1030 with latest nVidia driver. Both H264 and H265 are giving the same error using 8 Hikvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I. There has to be more people experiencing issues.
