    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I recently switched from a Uniden U-Bell (HikVision DS-KB6003-WIP) to the DB1C. The price was right for me to toy with it. It is working with the EZVIZ app and the night vision has greatly improved but the motion/human detection is terrible. I am using human detection and it sees every car...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I selected H.265 in the config tool. I think you will find once you set the codec in the config tool, it will play that codec no matter what you type into the rtsp address info. At least that is the case for me using VLC media player.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I found I can put any text after the IP address except for "Streaming/Channels/102" into the "Open Network Stream" input of VLC and it always streams the 1536x1536 H.265 stream according to VLC's codec information. This worked even with: rtsp:/admin: pass@<Enter IP Address>/h264_stream or...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I don’t have any NVR or BI, just stand alone door bell and I get the lock out. My AP is an Asus RT-AC68U connected to a Ubiquity EdgeRouter-X. I don’t think this lockout is router dependent. Maybe cookies in the browser? Maybe try incognito mode for initial login? Sent from my iPhone using...

Are you using IE? You have to use IE due to the ActiveX dependency. I just tried to log in and got the “your device is locked…please try again in 27 minutes”. I haven’t found any rhyme or reason for this behavior yet. If I wait, it usually works after the allotted time. Sent from my iPhone...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I’m on 4.15.0.1167978 on my iPhone. I noticed the auto answer yesterday and turned it off. I don’t see any supplemental light settings. My firmware is 1.4.62 171225. I also get locked out when accessing the camera web page even when I’m on my LAN. Haven’t tried troubleshooting yet. Might be...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

When you push the standard lit button doorbell, you are essentially shorting the circuit with all of the voltage drop occurring across the chime. If you have the camera doorbell in parallel with the lit doorbell, it will reboot whenever the lit doorbell is pressed because it will see zero volts...

    XTU 2k video doorbell

Thanks for the review. I have the Uniden U-bell 2MP (Hik-Vision rebrand). I use it as a stand alone doorbell with no NVR/BI. Other than some playback issues with the app and IR light internal reflection, it has served me well. The phone notifications, app settings, and web GUI are clunky but the...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I've read that that 180726 firmware had some bugs. Also, 180809 had some annoying ding sound problems at the doorbell. Unless I know that I'm not getting myself into more issues than I currently have, I think I will stay with this firmware. That's why I never upgraded knowing full well there...

I switched back to the latest Hik-Connect app from the Uniden One app. At least I get notifications when someone pushes the button now. Although, I have to check the notification box on my iPhone homescreen to launch the app so I can see who is at the door and then accept or decline the call...

Ahhh, I didn’t have to “unbind” when I went from Hik to the Uniden app. That LTS “unbind” prompt gave me the willies so I bailed. I’ll first try to logout of the Uniden and then set up LTS. If I get prompted to unbind, I’ll pull the trigger and hope for the best. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone...

Did you try to get both the Uniden & LTS apps working at the same time? How did you get the LTS working? Did you just log out of the Uniden? I tried adding my doorbell to the LTS but it says it’s already registered. I tried sharing from Uniden to LTS but couldn’t get it to work. I’m trying to...

ONVIF doorbell w/ NAS or off-network doorbell?

I have been using the Uniden U-Bell (rebranded HikVision DS-KB6003-WIP). It uses my doorbell chime for power and 2.4Ghz for wi-fi. It has the ability to map zones for detection and adjust sensitivity but those adjustments aren't very accurate. I find it hard to ignore cars on the road 75 feet...

My Uniden has been loosing the 32 Gig SD card connection periodically. I’ll check the status and it will show storage status “Not Initialized”. The way I fix it is to take the cover off and remove/reinsert the card. Then, restarting the app usually fixes it while maintaining my previous recorded...
