Trying to get this camera to work with 2 way audio via my android phone. Tinycam pro apparently does not support 2 way audio for this camera.
Does anyone know of another android phone app that I could use so the talk feature works? (listen works great)

I may mount mine this weekend. I plan to use POE injector (unit does not come with a power supply by the way) I am going to drill an cat5 cable sized hole in the base and then crimp an RJ45 connector on it. (this will keep the hole size smaller)
Then I will drop the cable into the wall and...
IPC-K35A is the Dahua model. Just got one from Andy. I have not had time to play with it yet.
I spent all my free time setting up my vpn. I have that working now, so the camera might get installed this weekend.

I have an IPC-HFW2831TP-ZS that I will be deploying soon. I greatly appreciate this info and the tips for increasing the bit rate to negate some of the picture noise.

Initialized both cameras this weekend. Everything is working fine.
Sorry no pictures. The cameras were pointed out my slightly dirty bedroom window and the picture would not have done the cameras justice.
Will install during May vacation and will post pics at that time.

Cameras arrived yesterday evening. Everything looks good. I will not get a chance to check them out until the weekend.
Thanks Andy for a smooth transaction. It is a pleasure to do business with you!

order:
1 - IPC-HFW2831T-ZS
1- IPC-HFW1831E with 4 mm lens
It will be a while before I am able to travel to the place I am installing these.
But I can at least check them out when I get them.
Will update when I have them.

Distances for views that I desire are the field next to the cabin, (100-150 yards) and to the horizon. (blueline)
I am thinking this over and I will not be able to use this very often. (busy with work and such) I am thinking a couple of bullet cams will do the trick
if I can aim them at the...
Yes, I totally failed to state the purpose. (sorry) This would be deployed at a vacation cabin in North Georgia so I can enjoy the view when I am not there.
This would not be for security as much as for looking at the scenery. I am being pushed to consider a few fixed cameras instead by what...
I appreciate you sharing your experience. Would the experienced folks here say that a PTZ is not as long lived as other cams?
I have read several threads regarding the wisdom of using multiple fixed cameras instead of a PTZ. (mostly related to coverage)
My use case is a bit different as I want...
For the folks that have had this camera for a while. Would you recommend it still?
How long do you estimate it will last? I really like the design, but don't want to be buying another in 2 years.
BTW, what is the warranty on these?
Thanks,

Hello all,
I have been lurking here for several weeks trying to soak up enough info to make a decision on a PTZ for a location in the North Georgia mountains. I seem to be gravitating to Dahua for a brand. I found an Amcrest that might work, but it was only 12x zoom and did not seem as fully...
