So if I set the camera to record plates at the choke point, which is where the street turns into our cul-de-sac, it is 100 ft from the eve of the house to the "choke point".
Wow, that would honestly be plenty right there. It makes sense though what others were saying, I might have to point the camera further out toward the opposite side of the cul-de-sac where it goes back to narrow street to make sure I get their plate. I am going to go get my 100 ft tape measure...
Yeah the police officers said it was a semi professional crew. They had cars scouting first, then multiple pickup trucks come in and about 6 guys would approach the target vehicle. One on each wheel, and two on the tailgate. They would grab concrete blocks from gardens, place them under the...
Well our garage sticks out in front of the house, and the driveway is in front of that. Our driveway can only fit one fullsize truck in the driveway length wise, and even then, it is parked over the sidewalk section. So there is maybe 3 feet behind my truck to the edge of the cul-de-sac. I know...
It's been almost a couple years since I have been on here and I moved since then. My previous neighborhood had over $100,000 in tailgates, wheels, tires, etc stolen off vehicles in one night! What's crazy was it was a "crew" with multiple vehicles hitting higher end neighborhoods and although...
Also maybe I should have added this in there, but my buddy who is the master electrician did say that even if you seal up conduit, he said it always ends up with water in it years later. So thats why they always recommend something that is burial rated. He said the conduit should basically just...
Actually, looking at this video, it looks like you could use a gel filled CAT cable that is rated for direct burial, but I would just put it in conduit to protect it from a gardener, cable company, electric company or even yourself years from now when you can't remember exactly where you buried...
We live in a neighborhood that is lit up pretty good with street lights, heck one is right on the out corner of my lot at the farthest point. Then we have 3 lights (one mounted on each side of the front garage on the brick, and another on the porch that have 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs and run...
I was just asking because it seems about the same price to buy some burial rated cat6, and some regular cat6, versus just buying a big roll of burial cat6.
So this is for my two story house, looking at about 7 cameras in total as follows:
(4) 2231RP-ZS
(1) 5231R-ZE
(1) 5231E-Z12 (LPR)
(1) 2MP Starlight PTZ (model yet TBD)
I live in a residential neighborhood with the average lot size about 10,000 sq ft, so the houses are not right on top of...
I read through the 2 MP starlight list, there is a ton of PTZ's listed. I even read the new review on the mini PTZ. There is a lot to consider. Here is what I currently know I prefer:
1.) Prefer it white (house is white and will blend in better)
2.) Prefer it be all metal, or mostly metal...
What's most unfortunate about this, is the markup on this maybe unethical, and immoral, but not illegal. If someone sold apples for $100 a apple, and people are dumb enough to pay it, it is what it is. I can see how someone who was just made a victim of a home burglary, or even worse, robbery...
Yeah my wife looked the guy up on Facebook and it seems he has a ton of pictures of some high dollar cars, trucks and boats. So he is obviously good at what he does (be it crooked or not).
Chill out with the name calling. I am listening. I was simply loading up more info on what exactly they are calling a $20,000 system. I was just making sure we could identify the Dahua products to match these specs to clearly prove they are DRAMATICALLY marking up the prices. I have no...
Here are the specs on the LPR they sent me:

Here are the specs on the LPR he sent me today:
1/2.8" 3MP WDR IR Bullet Network Camera
Smart H.265+, 7-35mm Lens, 60fps@3MP, IP67, IK10, 328' IR, PoE, AC24V/DC12V, IVS, Micro-SD Slot, Starlight, UL Listed
Dang, they literally had someone post their first negative review in over a year, just 30 minutes ago. The guy is saying he paid over $10,000 and they didn't install stuff up to code, didn't use licensed electricians, or give him any warranty information on the products. He is saying he is...
I hear what you are saying, but what stops you from taking them to court with that contract? I have already decided not to do it, so I am speaking hypothetically here. They have a store front here in Texas, address and phone number listed on Google, Facebook, and Homeadvisor.com, and to be...
Wow, you are right! I knew someone on here would be able to identify it! If you even just read the section where it says "identity feet and recognize feet" the feet are literally the exact same on both the specs they gave me and that Dahua
SD49225T-HN.
Good job! Now I know they are full of BS...
Whats weird is they have almost a perfect review rating on Facebook, homeadvisor.com, and google reviews. It seems like someone would have burned them. I know I would if they scammed me. I hear what yall are saying though. The $20,000 price tag is just astronomically ridiculous.
This is them on Google:
www.google.com/search?q=ageint+security&oq=ageint+security&aqs=chrome..69i57.2796j0j4&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#trex=m_t:lcl_akp,rc_f:nav,rc_ludocids:3221519368055737090,rc_q:Ageint%2520Security,ru_q:Ageint%2520Security
They said the cameras are built by them using various components. They did show me pictures of the cameras as well as footage from these cameras. They looked exactly like Dahua starlight in my opinion. The name of their company is Ageint Security.
