Thanks for the feedback. The cam is a 3.6mm, and footpath is roughly 5m (16ft) Getting a clear image at the footpath is not needed. I would prefer an identifiable image from anywhere from the rear door handle mark back to the house - I was more curious as to why the casper appearance was there...

Have finally got around to fine tuning my 5442TM-AS at night. I have got static pictures just fine, and even motion seems ok, no blur, and can see myself clearly up close, but its when im at a distance away from the cam that it seems like i'm a ghost! I have tried different manual settings...

Tried SmartPSS for live view, and it performs much better than chrome!

Time schedule is what i was after. This gave me the ability to have different different setting for night and day as well as force night into colour As for DST, its easy for me to adjust this once a year as needed! But i wont know till about March when our DST ends!! Thanks for the help all.

Using google chrome to view the cam directly via IP. All devices hardwired to switch. Viewing directly on the local network I guess ill see if helps after ive upgraded!! Cheers

You will need to make a rule to ONLY allow the blue iris IP to access your lan whilst all other traffic remains blocked. I don't use unifi router so can't help with a screenshot sorry.

Thanks - I also have some bright downlights mounted in my eave that I can put on a motion sensor and use my home automation to turn on in the event of motion - These will definitely be enough to light up the area to enable to camera to see in colour But definitely something else to keep in mind...
