NVR that doesn't suck compared to BI

I help a local contractor setup and install LT Security NVRs. As far as I can tell, they just relabel Hikvision NVRs -- but they do work, they have a mobile app (iVMS-4500) that works pretty well. I prefer Blue Iris for sure, but if I didn't know Blue Iris existed, the Hikvision NVRs would be a...

    connecting remotely through double nat

An alternative I have used in some cases is Hamachi VPN by Logmein. VPN.net – Hamachi by LogMeIn On Windows, it really works quite well. You can have a machine behind a NAT without having to do pinhole port forwards. VPN.net – Hamachi by LogMeIn - first 5 machines is free. Mobile setup uses the...

    Blue Iris UI3

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried the "Open HLS Stream" idea - the livestream feed seems to work. Thanks for the tip! I do own and use the Blue Iris app on the iPhone -- I'm trying to make a custom web page that just shows a few high priority cameras on a 24x7 basis. I'll see if I can embed...

    Blue Iris UI3

Trying the beta, had a few hurdles to get over at first, but seems to be working well now. Not sure if this has anything to do with the initial issues I had - but I had the "Limit decoding unless required" checkbox checked on all of my 18 cameras, and then when I copied over the UI3 files into...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

There used to be an option to show / hide the audio controls in ui2. Now I only see in the "Top Bar" section of UI2 Configuration the option for "Automatically play camera audio", but no option for seeing / hiding the Audio Icons. Am I missing that somehow in the settings somewhere else? On an...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

Firefox 35.0 works fine with the audio, minimal flickering (on a Mac on 10.10.3). So the change that messed up the audio is most likely somewhere between 35.0 and 36.0. Release notes don't reveal anything obvious. Maybe someone with more developer knowledge on the HTML5 side can look them over...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I saw some release notes about Firefox 37 having big improvements regarding HTML 5 video, so I went back to Firefox 36, but the problem was still there. I rolled my machine back to Firefox 31.0 - and now audio works fine, and no flicker on the video. Whatever change they made was somewhere...

    I made a better remote-live-view page [OLD]

I've been using UI2 for about 4 or 5 months now, it's awesome, thanks for programming this and making it available. One odd thing I noticed, recently (within the last few weeks) I upgraded Blue Iris to latest 4.0.9.14 x64, and Firefox to latest 38.0.5, and UI2 to latest v0.8.2. Prior to these...
