    No, i don't have an external microphone connected. Is that necessary? Does the camera doesn't have a built-in microphone? I just want that sound of the camera is recorded... There is only one cable connected to the camera: a POE network-cable

    i checked and video/audio is selected: The model is DS-2CD2155F-IWS (it has an "S" in the modelname, so it should support sound)
