Thanks, how about H.264H vs. H.264? I appreciate your reply!

Bitrate setting on my 54IRs, can it be too high and effect BI performance?

I'm working with Ken right now to troubleshoot a performance issue when viewing the live stream of a camera in UI3. Here is my main stream encode setting used on all of my 54IRs. Would I lose any noticeable picture quality by reducing the Bit Rate to 8192 or 4096? How about the Compression...

I tried flipping it 90°, but it said that wouldn't work due "The function cannot be supported by the resolution."

Struggling to dial in front door camera settings to improve quality

Thanks for the reply. Here is the FOV of one of the cameras. All of these entry points are under a covered porch, so it's always shady. I'll try your number and send a new capture.

Struggling to dial in front door camera settings to improve quality

I have 3 IPC-E35IR-AS-3.6mm cameras from Andy @EMPIRETECANDY installed at each of my entry doors to the house. Clip and snapshot image capture is great at night. Daytime capture, particularly early morning and at dusk, is not so great. The snapshot image shows some motion blur and a little dark...

    Queue JPEG Post stopped working

I have an event scheduled on each camera to save a JPEG every day at sunset. I've been using this event for years and then I noticed yesterday that none of the cameras successfully stored the event in the destination. I scheduled another event to test this morning, and it didn't work. I even...

How to re-trigger when using ONVIF alerts from the camera?

I was using Intrusion boxes for detection. I added several trip wires to the field of view for the area inside the intrusion box. Seems to work well for me.

How to re-trigger when using ONVIF alerts from the camera?

I use AI detection from my 54IRs to trigger alerts for people and wildlife. Sometimes the subject stays in frame for a while. Is there a way to have BI to continue to record the main stream until the subject leaves the FOV? Thanks

Looking for the best way to take a picture every hour on a few cameras

Anyone ever set this up? Best I can tell is that I'll need to create separate scheduled events to create a JPEG using the Queue JPEG post function. Thanks

Need a new POE splitter to power camera and separate IR

I installed a camera several years ago using a POE splitter to power it and an IR. Just recently, I noticed that camera is only running at 10 mbps instead of 100 mbps. I've reset the camera and POE switch to that camera multiple times, but the issue remains. I'm left thinking the old POE...

New Weather API built in BI 5.9.9.29

I'm still hoping that more weather providers are added. I have an Ambient Weather station on my property and it would nice to use my stats as they can be a little off from the stats for the nearest city.

    Adding more storage for clips

I currently have around 9 TBs of storage in my BI PC as a second drive. Given that I have 12 cameras, I can only store about 4 days worth of clips with continuos recording. So instead, I use Continuos Sub +Triggered. I would prefer continuos recording, so what are my options? Would an external...

    5.9.9 - January 17, 2025 - More Pre-6.0 feature releases

Yes, I'm curious about this as well. I currently use the camera onboard AI which works well for me, but I would like to experiment with this to see how it compares. Anyone know what objects can be detected with Blue Onyx?

Camera ONVIF trigger alerts in Blue Iris - Considering using both IVS and Smart Motion Detection

The Fast Moving rule is showing some promise so far. Curious how it's different from a regular Intrusion rule, other than no setting for direction or Appear/Cross.

Camera ONVIF trigger alerts in Blue Iris - Considering using both IVS and Smart Motion Detection

Since the FOV has a tight window, I'm trying "Fast Moving" rules to see if it catches vehicles.
