    Junction Box

I have but not for EmpireTech or Dahua cams. You would need the check the spec sheet of camera for bolt hole positions and diameter. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/swann-4k-bullet-install-w-amazon-junction-box.62827/

    Cam install pics

no, first cam is a 5442-ze You can do without the box, no problem. I do on lower budget jobs. I personally don't like drilling big gaping 7/8" holes into brand-new steel, plus the box brings the camera out and away from the wall that much more. It's also more difficult to plug a 7/8 - 1-inch...

    Security system design help

7, 8&9 are just alternative position options. I personally would consider and test cams 1- 6 locations. This is a plan I quickly slapped together to help give you an idea where you could place cameras.

    Security system design help

What mat200 said. Cant go wrong testing every location first with a bucket of rocks and a 10ft 2x4. I whipped up a quick layout plan that may give you some ideas as to where to start. cam 7,8 & 9 are alternative views as to having cams at each corner. Maybe some other suggestions by other...

Old BNC analog to new Cameras in 2024

Those lorex cameras have the beauty ring, which might help the looks a bit? You could always order 1 of each box and see how it goes before ordering the rest.

    IPC-T5442TM-ASE randomly stopped working

I installed 4 x 3.6mm last summer for a client and had one that would randomly disconnect from the nvr. Replaced it a few weeks ago . Brought it home, reset it, and so so far it’s running on my blue iris machine.

Old BNC analog to new Cameras in 2024

It does all fit in if you hold your tongue the right way. I crimped a BNC directly on the coax cable though. It does look like it might be same length as what you will have with the adapter into F connector. It measures 1-3/8” in length .

Old BNC analog to new Cameras in 2024

so is this the actual pig tail of the old analog camera? If so could you not bring the new camera pigtail to here also? If not you can still keep everything there and just run a female to male Ethernet patch cord up to camera box

Old BNC analog to new Cameras in 2024

Yes looks like you can eliminate the RCA . So is there enough coax slack to get it directly to the junction box? Less adapters the better
