Some of us had issues with 5.2.5.5 and Intel HW, 5.2.5.7 resolved these issues or using Intel+VPP on 5.2.5.5.

What version of BI? Do you have HW acceleration enabled?

Updated to 5.2.5.7 and switched to Intel, CPU and GPU back to "normal"

Anyone want to try 5.2.5.5 with Intel+VPP? From Ken: Change was again to Intel HW decoding: Intel .... a new method Intel + VPP ... the old way for backward compatibility.

Yeah, I had an old version of BIUpdateHelper that wasn't backing up recent files. I only have 5.0.x.x files Just updated to v1.8 which saved the latest 5.2.5.5, but too late to get 5.2.5.3.

I'm seeing very high CPU usage too. Apparently I didn't have the latest version of BIUpdateHelper. How can I get the update file for 5.2.5.3?

If you used HW acceleration for H.264 and switched your cameras to H.265, your CPU would dramatically increase if HW acceleration did not work. Pay attention to your GPU utilization.. if it goes down that's a good indicator that HW acceleration did not work because the work was moved to the CPU.

Tested this and the results are same as the previous version. GPU utilization and GPU memory dropped when switching all cameras to H.265 like there's no hardware accelleration while CPU doubled.

Testing 5.2.2.4 with 8x IPC-HDW5831R-ZE (H.265) and 3x IPC-K35S (H.264) D3D11VA is working for the 8x H.265 -- or at least there are no " HW VA not compatible" errors CPU usage went from 20-25% to 45-50% GPU from 35% to 6% utilization and 1.5 to 0.5GB memory Doesn't this mean HW acceleration...

Changed the same second camera to H.265, but GPU is now 34-37% and CPU 23-30% That's quite different from my initial test with the same 2 cameras. Not sure what this means except it fluctuates

I suspect HW encoding is not working since my CPU usage is in the upper 30s when it's normally around 20%. But I tried H.265 on 2 cameras and they're both recording fine. That is a step forward!

Tested Intel BETA with IPC-HDW5831R-ZE H.265 and got HW VA not compatible: -12, but it is still streaming and recording... I don't think I was ever able to keep H.265 on the camera.

Could you share your blueiris settings to get the 2way audio to work? I cant get it to work. Are you also using imou side by side?

I think it's a known issue, check the other forum sections. AusGod... I was able to restore my system almost back to normal. I exported the individual camera settings, reset BI, configure BI settings from scratch, then imported my camera settings one by one. So far so good.

FWIW I don't think it's an issue with camera settings, but instead BI settings. Because I exported the individual cameras and imported them into an a clean install with no issues.

How do you do this?
