catcamstar, I've looked at things like that but my cabinet isn't very deep so a lot of things don't fit. Plus its nice to have the screen always "on" so I can view the IP cams.

Hi @Aengus4h the masonry anchor bolts I listed don't require plastic plugs, but they don't come in a size that would fit the holes on the mounting plate. Of course I could always make the holes bigger to suite.

At the moment I'm thinking its the tester. But I will make another cable later today checking I get the wires in far enough and that I have the correct color order. Don't really want to proceed much further with camera installation if I can not get the cables right.

UPDATE: Decided to try another test. I hooked the cable up between the modem and the cable to this computer, I'm writing this post with it there. So, it works?? But isn't testing well??
