Point to Point Wireless Bridge Recomendations

I have 2 large apartment complexes with 4K cameras on a wireless Ubiquity bridge. Distance is 825 feet for 1 place and 600 feet at the other. The receiving end I have a 8 port POE switch with uplink and the uplink goes another 200 feet to another POE 8 port switch and there are 11 4K cameras on...

Installing ethernet wire from 14-foot eaves soffit to 8-foot camera height

You have power to the lights if they turn on by light sensor there should be constant power before the sensor, tap off that.

Installing ethernet wire from 14-foot eaves soffit to 8-foot camera height

I have used the 12" boxes and enough room to put a poe switch in it and mounted 3 cameras to get all around view and ethernet cables from camers reach right into the poe switch. Makes easy install of multiple cameras. Just a thought.

Installing ethernet wire from 14-foot eaves soffit to 8-foot camera height

I usually break the ears off with plyers and screw boxes through the back of the box into the surface

Installing ethernet wire from 14-foot eaves soffit to 8-foot camera height

No crawl space above garage? Must have if the other camera is up there. I would try drilling down between the wall and push a fish stick through the insulation and string and try to snag it in a hole with a wire like coat hanger and the camera will cover the hole. Did a couple like that, takes...

    Outdoor POE switch install

I just put weatherproof boxes in large enough to put a 8 port POE switch and electrical outlet inside the box and one I attached the cameras also to the box. The other cameras were external from the box and always use the uplink switches so I can run a cat5 to the next box with a POE switch.

    Ubiquity Wireless Bridge 4K cameras

First Ubiquity antenna is direct into the router and only 1 POE switch at the far end antenna. It should be fine.

    Ubiquity Wireless Bridge 4K cameras

Keeping the bit rate at 4096 so at the 4096 bit rate and the ubiquity bridge can handle 450Mbps I am not a mathematician that was why I was asking.

    Ubiquity Wireless Bridge 4K cameras

Thank you, at least I have a idea now, I have 7 running now no issues. The VICE unit at my Police department wanted to know if I could add more on their monitoring, so will be adding a few more so they can gather the evidence they need. Thanks again, I was unsure how much each camera might use

    Ubiquity Wireless Bridge 4K cameras

I must be the only one I guess who is looking to see how many 4K cameras that can be added to the end run of a 450Mbps Ubiquity bridge on a POE switch. Was hoping someone knew how many Mb each 4K camera would use before the 450Mbps bridge would be full.

    Ubiquity Wireless Bridge 4K cameras

Curious as to the limit of 4K cameras that will work on the far end of a wireless bridge. I have a Ubiquity 450Mpps bridge now 450' at the other end of an apartment building with (7) 4K cameras working now out of a POE switch at the far end at the antenna receiving end and works fine. Had a...

    How to get gigabit speeds?

Talking gigabit here routers and switches are gigabit but what about the network cameras? I have not looked at specs on cameras but if the lights are yellow that is 100mbps and green is 1000mbps right? How is one to know if the camera is capable of gigabit speeds? Just curious

    DESIGN

I would add 4 more cameras 2 in the center on both sides of the long building criss crossed view to get better view of the center seeing distance from corners would be so faw away. Also a PTZ with auto tracking might be nice where it will zoom in automatically on motion and track movement then...

Just got this email from Rekor

Here is what else they wrote: While we will always recommend to upgrade to the newest version. If the old one is working for you, I would keep an eye on it until you see an issue and then upgrade to 4.1.3 if you absolutely have to. The reason I say that is because I've noticed some customers...

I guess if no issues you don't need to. They just said they fixed the bug that people were getting with the agent stopping and having to restart it.

I had the same issues. I am currently sending them logs for the engineers to look at and they determined a bug in version 4.11 and they replied again saying engineers said to upgrade recor to version 4.1.3 and it should work ok.

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

There are different size holes and some have oblong slots. If you aim it down where the wire goes in from the bottom not much to worry about as long as there is a slight drip loop so water won't follow the wire. Other suggestions above will also work.

    NanoStation m5 config

I always use the injector with the 24v or 48v to antenna, and from my network switch to the network RJ45 plug on the injector. Then at far end do the same with injector for power to the antenna and network side to a poe switch. Then cameras branch out from the poe switch. You don't want to...

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

It won't take any room up at all. Just don't stuff 3 feet of wire in there, usually a foot is plenty if you had to put a new end on in the future then you can have room to cut the RJ45 off and crimp a new end on

    Dahua has a new water proof junction box PFA130-E / PFA130E for Turrets ( PFA137, PFA139 )

Can get a Gland that is what I do. Looks like you might have 3/4 threads there. Most hardware places should have them any extra holes the box usually comes with the plugs

To update, problem seems to of been Hacker got in the old Honeywell NVR system and turned all the camera settings down to 0 the sliders for brightness contrast and so on to the minimum settings. Honeywell Camera Model 3mp HBD3PR1 add to non Honeywell NVR

I am headed to the customers again today with the laptop to log in to the camera and check settings. I tried remotely viewing cam sub and main stream and was black. My guess is a codec setting mismatch because the camera connects ok just a black screen for now. Will update my findings

Anyone familiar with Honeywell cameras connecting to a non Honeywell NVR? I have Camera Model 3mp HBD3PR1 Honeywell brand and they connect to Montavue POE NVR ok but black screens.
