I just installed 2.5RC8. I have a CORAL dual TPU with an pci adapter that enables both TPUs. Turn on/off switch once motion is detected from a Blue Iris Camera. (2020)

this is the BI side of things (I am still using BI4): goto the camera you would like to use as a virtual motion sensor, camera properties, alerts, choose the profile you want to edit, in the actions section choose "run a program or execute a script", configure, on the new window fill in the path...

Turn on/off switch once motion is detected from a Blue Iris Camera. (2020)

I don't know much about smart things but you can habe BI send a command to a virtual switch within smart things on detecting motion. Then you can handle the desired logic with turning on/off lights within smart things. My home automation is a PI running openhab and I have BI sending a curl...

    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

my ze had a focus issue which should be sorted out by now. The ze has a little longer zoom range. The older model has more of a mickey mouse face (lens plus two separate ir) whereas ze has one solid black block in the center which might be more noticeable. You won't make anything wrong with...

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

@looney2ns I must have been rather thick when I connected the mic to Audio out. It was rather late ... Thanks for the tip with the POE splitter, that was the missing puzzle piece.

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

I finally found the time to take the cam apart. After having a hard time to unscrew one of the screws that was obviously sitting tight in a very bad thread the source of the noise was easily located. Some of the cables where pressed against the fan wheel! After rerouting the cables so they...

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

Thanks for your response. The manual was not clear to me regarding the mic, so I'll attach an external one. My other Dahua 4x PTZ does not make any noise so this was unsettling . Your confirmation that some level of noise is to be expected is reassuring.

ok, will try. The cam should have built in mic, right? At least there is a "audio out" cable.

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

I tried to record a video with the cam, but there is no sound at all in the recording. The mic seems to be defect. When you download my recorded file just remove the extension .txt so it has the extension .wav Then you should be able to play it. Does the cam has an internal fan? It sounds like...

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

Thank's a lot for taking the time to record the video. At the end of your video I hear something that I thought is noise from the street. Is that the SD49225? I recorded the sound of mine (see attached file, extension changed to txt so I could upload). The sound of mine is audible from 10m...

SD49212T - constant loud humming noise even when not moving

I just received my first SD49212T and before putting it up I wanted to bench test it. The camera is constantly emitting a loud humming noise which is significantly louder than the sound when panning. Only tilting is about the same level of noise. Can this be right? Why would it make any noise...

I need your help in assessing this screenshot. empiretecandy was kind enough to test my replacement cam (I had the focus issue) before shipping. To me the whole picture seems out of focus. This is a short video of the lens issue. Video starts with the focus set by camera's autofocus option, left side out of focus. I then reset focus by using the "restore all" button on the "zoom and focus page", you can see the lens moving, after that left side is out of focus. Then I used the...

    Review-Dahua Starlight IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 800 meter capable ePOE

installing sd card should not cause this. I believe there must be a small misalignment between sensor and lens. @Jagradang If you have the same issue as I do there might be a chance that Dahua hasn't perfected it's manufacturing process for the new model yet.

yes. 2/3 of the picture is perfectly focused, 1/3 is not. you can manually adjust focus to get the 1/3 perfect, but then 2/3 are blurred.

I installed my new 5231RP-ZE today. For all the praise the cam and it's predecessor have received I have to say with out of the box default settings the picture quality is underwhelming. IPC-HDW5231R-Z and BI questions..

I have been lurking around here for a little while now. I am thinking about getting a 5231r-z too. @xdq: very intrigued by what you said. So zooming in on the r-z with blue iris is not possible? using the camera's api means sending htto requests? could you please expand on that? Thanks a lot!
