Ok tried the DMSS app ( without the I ) and can see video messages. See screenshot. weird. Added via the same method. Even viewing recorded video works via DMSS app.

I had the 720p version at my old place. Worked well with blueiris. Camera quality was crap imo. I had a 100/40mpbs fiber to the home internet connection and had it directly connected via POE. Via the doorbird app the video connection was unusable. The lag time to actually talk was too delayed...

actually for me I noticed when I selected the Dahua IPC cam the discovery/onvif port would change to 8999. Changed it to 80 and seems to be fine now.

Really like these cams. Would love a proper outdoor version of these. My only dislike is how the mount and how the cable is exposed. Love the fact it has built in PIR and audio recording. Would anyone here recommend getting these as outdoor camera's? I probably look to get around 6 of them.

Thanks guys I'm going to give this a try. I just setup a new system with i7 7700 and my cpu usage for 5 hiks would start at around 15% but would slowly climb to 50% after a few hours. My previous i7 6700 had no issues and never climbed over 15%. So it has to be the video driver.
