Solved! Slow playback, High CPU playback issue

I've been struggling with an issue where BI becomes extremely slow, when playing back clips, reviewing clips or simply just scrolling through clips... Just by viewing clips on mobile device or web will send CPU up to 99% usage, and the playback would stutter and is very sluggish I have 14...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

i tried everything.... i don't understand why it requires so much CPU for playing back. it's almost 40-50% more CPU usage than normal when idling... this is reviewing clips / alerts remotely in a web browser

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

same here, very laggy playback sometimes. CPU 80% or higher. if playing + poking around the clips, it will go up 90%+ sometimes freeze BI and it would restart itself.

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

I'm still dealing with this issue.... anyone has any idea? 2 identical systems, both are fresh install Win10, with correct GPU drivers, with correct settings in BI 5. Again, this CPU high usage issue only happens when PLAYING BACK or reviewing "alerts / stored videos" (with mouse over the...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

doesn't look like my PC is affected by this, as it mentions "SearchUI.exe" being the issue. when i'm playing on my phone and looking at task manager on the local PC, i can see CPU jumps to 90% for Blueiris, and GPU goes up to 70% ish

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

so i had BVR disabled for a few days... it made no difference. i was going through some past footage today on my phone, and as soon as it started playing it struggles. i exit back to main screen, and CPU was at like 97%. then it went back down to 40%ish after 2-3 seconds. this was with no...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

All cameras are using H264. I'll try the "Also BVR" setting The CPU does drop when i'm using it locally, it hovers at around 40%. but as soon as I start playing stored videos, or scrolling down the list of events... cpu spikes up same thing on mobile device when playing back, it struggles...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

VNC is not streamining to any other device, however VNC server always runs in the background. I tried playing back locally and on iOS, same thing, CPU skyrockets. the playing back is not too bad sometimes, unless i go 2x or 4x or faster. seeking through past alerts / videos is what make the CPU...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

The 40% usage is when i look at the monitor that is attached to the PC, or from the iOS app. here are some screenshots, tell me what you think is wrong I actually have 14 cameras, forgot about the 2 at the fence and i have 8GB ram instead of 16.

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

I always remote in with VNC I know something is not right that’s why I posted here. The reason for bringing up Hikvision is to say that such a pos can play back smoothly but my i7 can’t , something is wrong. I tried every single driver before also and settled on the one recommended by...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

Normal usage at 40% with a 1080p screen on is not normal? It’s set to 10fps I know they are not the same. I’m just saying. Cheap pos NVR is very capable and there’s no reason my i7 setup is struggling. Even on BI during playback just one stream on mobile devices, it uses up most of the cpu...

V5 - High CPU when scrolling alerts / playing back

Like I said, normal usage is normal and the only high cpu time is when playing back and seeking videos (when there’s disk read actions) No I am not using a demo Direct to disk and BVR and hardware decoding are all setup correctly. I’ve been using BI since V4 I had a Hikvisiom NVR prior to...

    i7-7700 slow performance

I tried with and without "also bvr", it does not affect the cpu usage during playback. all individual cameras have "hardware acceleration" checked my main issue here is the playback, whenever i try to play a clip the CPU shoots up to almost 100%, as soon as I stop it drops to 60-70%, which i...

    i7-7700 slow performance

I just did a comparison to my other server, i5-4570 , which I moved to my office to replace an old Hikvision NVR, i didn't even touch the settings in the cameras yet, they were all set to MAX 2560x1440 resolution and 20FPS. no struggle at all during playback, very smooth 4x , 8x playback , Cpu...

    i7-7700 slow performance

I tried uninstalling BI and reinstall but same results. I didn’t try starting from scratch on the cameras yet. But does playback really take up that much cpu resource?? It’s only streaming... makes me wonder the efficiency of the software. A $200 NVR box plays 4K video not breaking a sweat...

    i7-7700 slow performance

the main problem is the playback. it uses up 95%+ of CPU just playing back clips.... even at 1x speed. web / ios / local...same thing on my old i5 server it never struggled to play any clips.
