Looks like an external POE device fixed this issue for me, no more pan tilt zoom initialize failure at startup When connected to the NVR with a short cable = OK When connected to the NVR over a +10 meter cable = NOK When connected to a external POE device + cable over 10 meters = OK -

I upgraded to firmware 5.4.8 and auto-tracking is not available . Is there a way to downgrade ? Does somebody has the firmware with autotracking ? Regards -

I had another run over this tread and I come to the conclusion that there is much more to do with these camera's if you give the camera a IP address instead of using the auto plug & play from the NVR. Not much settings you can do from within the NVR menu. just a example Auto tracking more fine... -

Updated the NVR to the latest firmware, updated the PTZ to the latest firmware. Same problem After a reset / power off the cams starting to do the check and is stuck looking down making a horrible sound. Watching the live view when this is happening it looks like something is holding the... -

@Mrkevkev Same problem here. After a reboot of the NVR the 2 PTZ domes have a self-test & tilt fail. It turns the camera down, up, down up ... like it is stuck. After a few seconds it stops tilting and I can manually rotate it to the correct location. -

Hello, (again) I checked the manual an what I understand from it, correct me if I'm wrong. You need to disable a POE port to add a camera with a LAN IP address. So you need an alternate POE device for the camera if you would like to have the camera to have another IP address ? So I can not... -

I did not know that I was used to use Dahua recorders, and with dahua everything was set on the NVR. As I can read or what I understand is that that is not the way with Hikvision ? ( not received my cams yet ) So I need to configure the Cams instead of the NVR ? -

@FrankMCN Indeed !! That is why I asked what firmware you all have installed on the "DS-2DE4A220IW-DE" I guess the firmware of the NVR can be upgraded, not ? NVR has nothing to do with the features of the camera itself ? -

Just ordered 2 Cams : "DS-2DE4A220IW-DE" from an official reseller in England. I asked if they had auto tracking and they said they have not, also contacted a dutch reseller who then contacted the distributor for BENELUX. They also confirmed that the camera's have no auto tracking ability. So...
