Blue Iris App - doesnt work unless on home wifi

When you are at home and when you are out and about, and when the wifi on your phone is turned off, there is a difference? And are the LAN and WAN addresses the same? This would require the use of a VPN client.

Ubiquiti G4 Doorbell on UDM SE. IP info in BI changes when AP reboots

Alas, no luck with streaming my new G4 Doorbell Pro to Blue Iris. The BI PC can ping the UDM Pro, but the camera never connects. tinker's two images look identical to me. I am on 5.7.9.12. Any suggestions appreciated.

Aha. Found it where you pointed it out. So this P2P is the culprit. Thanks, Tony!

    Chatty Cameras

Looking at the Z12, the Network/UPnP category has the 'enabled' checkbox unchecked, while the UDP listing below is checked. Should that option be unchecked, too? I am unsure where the P2P is located within the camera.

    Chatty Cameras

I have 8 cameras in use, all contained within a surveil VLAN which has a rule blocking access to the internet. Taking a look at the 'prosumer' Ubiquiti managed network this morning, I see these 3 cameras are particularly chatty. The IP's they are trying to reach are all listed as belonging to...

G4 Doorbell Pro. Anyone gonna test it?

Hi Andy, Can you confirm that this firmware (General_SD-Mao-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_IVS_V2.800.0000000.6.R.210705.bin) would be okay for my SD49225T-HN ? It doesn't have the "S2" at the end of the device type. Here is my current firmware:

    Best Wireless LPR camera's

Get a pair of Ubiquiti Nanostations. They are LAN radios, and have a good throughput and distance.

    LPR for HOA?

Such a network of cameras doesn't need to be associated with the HOA. It could just be a trusted individual hosting the server and LAN is association with other concerned homeowners. Assuming there a number of homes within zoom range facing the entrances then there are options.

    LPR for HOA?

The use of LAN radios brings the video stream directly to a central PC running BI. The homeowner just has to provide the electricity. These radios can traverse 9 miles under ideal line of site conditions. UI makes a variety of LAN radios which might fit the need. Worst case is the LAN radios...

    LPR for HOA?

A standard LPR camera such as the Dahua's IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E attached to each home with a good view of the entrances costs about $250. Amazon seller 'EmpireTech" is the best supplier of English-language firmware cameras. Add in a pair of Ubiquiti (UI.com) LAN radios for maybe $200. The one time...

    LPR for HOA?

My suggestion would be to use one central BI server, and all the remote cameras covering all entrances to the neighborhood would be connected via Ubiquiti LAN radios. A pair of radios would run maybe $100 - $200. Ubiquiti makes a variety of these radios, some requiring line of site, others more...

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

Curious to learn whether the old camera going to a neighbor will still have a stream to your BI, and if so, how? The use of Ubiquiti LAN radios would be ideal.

Blue Iris App - doesnt work unless on home wifi

Zerotier looks like a simple solution. I wonder how setting up the BI to connect to the new network how that would impact other devices in the home which use BI, such as HomeSeer, etc? They all need the local LAN address to connect.

Access UI3 or BI App externally?

There's the Pushover.net service, where notifications come to the phone from BI. There's a one-time purchase fee for the phone app, and as I recall 10,000 free notifications per month. The notifications are set up in the Alerts tab of each camera. This would not require a VPN or proxy manager or...

I've had the same issue a few times in the past 6 months or so. Delete the DB folder, lose all the alerts, and it will work for a while until the problem returns. I keep updating the version, and deleting the DB. It has been stable for the past month or so, so there's hope.
