    IPC-T2231T-ZS

Ok thanks - I have a lot to learn as I thought the purpose of BI was to control some of these settings for me! I will spend some more time trying to learn from which interface I should be setting which controls! Thanks again! Dan

    IPC-T2231T-ZS

Thanks, I will go for manual settings (I guess a profile for night and one for daytime as others have suggested?). I’m quite a newb so I do have many things set as default. I know this isn’t a PTZ, just a “Z” but my original Starlight varifocal has none of these issues, including having no...

Also cannot find proper PTZ settings in BI 5 to zoom - works fine in direct camera settings. Thx.

    IPC-T2231T-ZS

Is there a newer / better firmware for this cam? Also, I’m getting a large circular “whitewash” area at night. I saw some posts suggesting problems with IR in this model?. Did I make a poor choice? Thanks.

IP CAM TALK STORE - DAHUA

I recently ordered a Dahua from the IPCAMTALK store - I could have ordered same from Andy’s Amazon store I suppose - it has been 5-6 days and tracking says “PROCESSING”. Does anyone know how long it will take to get a cam shipped and received?

Best place to buy Cat 5 Cable online?

Someone asked about Monoprice cable - I believe the monoprice cable I bought listed the manufacturer and also had the test report linked as well but I may be confusing it with another online supplier.

Best place to buy Cat 5 Cable online?

1000 ft sounds like a lot of cable until you have to snake it across the attic then down to the crawl space and back over to the wherever the router or media area is...

New computer needed for Blue Iris

I've got an old HP that I salvaged from a person who didn't want it - (using it for my kids). I launched the upgrade and it installed the standard Win 10 downloader...it's going to take awhile but I'm confident it will work.

New computer needed for Blue Iris

I haven't tried it but the official Microsoft Windows 10 free upgrade accessibility site is still up indicating it is available.

New computer needed for Blue Iris

Looks legit based on the site itself and also based on google shopping reviews. I have bought from less reputable and still been ok....use credit card and pretty much nothing to worry about. Also, I have never had problems activating licenses - use the phone system to activate if that is still...

New computer needed for Blue Iris

When you say 'updated from fresh install' it sounds like you reloaded your box from scratch - so you might have removed or reconfigured some AV or other applications or drivers from your previous setup that were consuming cycles...?

New computer needed for Blue Iris

i7s and i5s are increasingly available at sub $500 and $400 levels, respectively, even in the non-eBay (i.e. retail) marketplace), if you look around for the deals. Good luck! True that I possibly overpaid compared to eBay. I'll let you guys know how my system holds up over time.

New computer needed for Blue Iris

Thanks guys - I see a lot of folks looking for i5s and even i7s on the cheap to run BI and I don't usually have much luck on eBay so I wanted to share a few (minimal) models I'm seeing pop up for less than $500...

It is a 510-P136, also very limited in internal and expansion options but at this point I'm not loading it much at all (1 cam).

Noob - Looking forward to my new setup...and a question

Actually... there is text / an overlay with "IPC" in the pixelated region....but the pixilation is over the entire length of the 192 pixel strip - not just the text part...and it looks like the overlay text extends slightly beyond the 192 pixel mark.:(. Thanks for the response!

Noob - Looking forward to my new setup...and a question

Hello all! I just completed my first cam install. Got a single Amcrest outdoor POE 4MP running and recording direct to disk using BI. Found a great deal on an HP Core i7 from the local Staples a week ago (we'll see if it sucks or holds up....). I did notice that the main video stream has a...
