Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

I've tried restarting multiple times. I checked the web interface now this morning and see this. This is what I've always been seeing. Right now I've got BI running as a service too, with the Intel graphics card and the client isn't even open.

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Ok, I've removed the NVideo card and have them running on the Intel graphics. I now have 4 cameras though that show "No Signal". I can't figure out why. They are the same model as other cameras that are working and I have hardware acceleration turned on for all.

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Fenderman, I (think) I do have QUicksync. So should I physically remove the Nvidia card and force the Intel card to use hardware accel?

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

I've got all cameras set to "default" on hardware acceleration. Then in the system-wide settigns I have it turned on. One thing as well, is I'm using the NVidia Quadro M2000 as our video card. Should i be using the built-in Intel card instead?

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

So I've got 41 cameras going to our Blue Iris computer (server). Most but not all are set for direct-to-disc. This problem we're having seems to happen usually when a lot of cameras are recording.

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Yes I use IE and it's web plugin, I'm not making any changes at all via the web interface. Didn't know that was even possible. I'm just using the web interface to view live stream and clips. I don't have it set to run in the background, everywhere I read said not to run it as a service. I...

Won't that close the web interface then? The web interface is the primary use of Blue Iris.

Hound Dog 911, I'm having the web interface hang too. What did you find that caused the issue?

Web interface cameras freeze and no clips

I'm experiencing an issue with the built-in web interface with BI. Sometimes after I log into the web site, the main page shows the cameras but many of them are frozen and then there are no clips to click on. This will go away sometimes if I refresh the page or if I stop/start the service on...

New HP server, need graphics card?

Honestly what I am really just trying to figure out is which is the best computer I need to have. I completely understand (after being chastised) that we bought an expensive server to handle this. What I am trying to understand is if we returned this server and bought a desktop workstation...

New HP server, need graphics card?

Not all our cameras are Axis, we have a handful of D-Link cameras as well.

New HP server, need graphics card?

Some of our outdoor cameras are currently set to 1600x1200 but can go up to 2592x1944 and if possible I'd like to go to the highest.

New HP server, need graphics card?

Also I'm trying to do as high of resolution as possible on some cameras. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. Thanks.

New HP server, need graphics card?

So would the desktop computer I spec'd above be better for me than the server we currently have?

New HP server, need graphics card?

Well I'll say it this way, we've already approved & purchased the Xeon server and have it in our possession. I want the best computer to be able to handle 38 cameras with as high a resolution (within reason) as possible.

New HP server, need graphics card?

Also if I returned this server and went with a desktop workstation, would this be a better computer? I'm most concerned about performance, I realize the server would cost more, but performance is what I'm most concerned about. HP Workstation Z240 i7 6700 - 3.4 Ghz 8 MB cache memory 16 GB RAM...

New HP server, need graphics card?

So.....I'm getting the idea that the server I bought might use too much power? ;-) I guess I'm just confused as how a desktop PC with one CPU could provide as good performance as the server I purchased with 2 CPUs & 10 cores each. I completely understand the cost is more than a desktop.

New HP server, need graphics card?

What if we've already bought the server for this purpose? :-) It should still be plenty fine, right?

New HP server, need graphics card?

Ok great, that helps to clarify. I was also planning on installing Server 2016. Would that be OK or would it be more beneficial to use Windows 10?
