Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

Still working through it. If "Main Router" is considered the Eero Pro 6 then I would have to put the Brume after the Eero, I think? I also understand I'd need to port forward the Brume to the Eero. The question I have I think, don't I need to change the IP of the Brume to match the IP series...

Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

So do you think I need to update the IP of the brume to match my local LAN IP because it's different right now with the Brume being 192.168.8.1. I believe I can port forward the Brume from the Eero app

Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

So I went with the Brume 2 unit, hooked the WAN cable from the modem to the WAN cable on the brume, then the lan from the br to the computer. Set up just fine, logged in fine, setup WireGuard fine and installed on phone. It says it has connection but I can’t get back to my network. I probably...

Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

I’m still trying to figure all this out. Just wish there was a simple solution. I’m tempted to just port forward but I know everyone says not to. What would you say is the best pivpn (without WiFi) that won’t break the bank. Best place to buy as well. Amazon? Or would this be the way to go...

Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

Forgot to mention that I run a dahua nvr and not blue iris. Not sure if that changes anything.

Need help setting up OpenVPN with fiber optic

So I just switched from cable to frontier fiber optic now using the Eero Pro 6e mesh system. On my old setup I was using the Asus RT-AC1750 router which has the built in OpenVPN server. I want to keep using OpenVPN so I can keep my cameras offline from the internet and not port forward them...

Is this the correct way to link switches?

The NVR is connected to the switch. Bottom switch, top row, all the way to the right.

Is this the correct way to link switches?

Thank you for the replies. Good suggestion on moving the switch link to the uplink port on the 2nd switch. I know the pic can be kind of confusing. Did the best to label the ports

Is this the correct way to link switches?

Attached is the picture of what I have setup. I am just wondering if this was the way you connect 2 switches together? And since we are here, does everything else look like its set up right? Wasn't exactly sure if they had to be in specific spots or not.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Hey guys looking for some help here. I have this camera set up and running on my bench for testing. Problem is I only have 1 of the camera feeds showing. Not sure how I get the other one to come up. In the NVR, I’ve been looking at the modify camera page but all I see is 1 channel and can’t...

    Trouble with HDW-2231 turret

Don’t know if this would still matter but I know my iPad shared the same IP address as the camera did. 192.168.1.108 I have since changed the ip of my iPad but nothing is different.

    Trouble with HDW-2231 turret

Took the camera down to bench test with a store bought cable and same thing happens. I suspect the camera is bad as I can’t even log into it. Am I out of luck? I imagine that in order to update the software I would need to log in first.

    Trouble with HDW-2231 turret

Trying to get my camera back online and performed a factory reset by applying power while holding the reset button inside the camera. It reset the ip to the standard 192.168.1.108 I try going to the address in IE to set the camera up but it won’t open or connect or anything. I verify that I...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

I have not done a factory reset yet. I was hoping I could avoid having to open up the camera if possible. If I have to do the reset does anyone know for sure if there is a reset button? Can I simply plug the camera into the switch and then hold the reset button?

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

I’ve had this model installed and running fine for 2 months maybe but this week I noticed something weird. During the day the picture is washed out but not completely white. During night time when IR comes on the picture fades to black as the natural light decreases. IR lights on camera remain...

    Need to change switches

My system currently has 7 cameras installed and running however I know I want to install more cameras sometime soon. My switch has all ports occupied so I would need to change switches. My dilemma is do I go for a 16 port switch or do I add a twin bv tech switch. I have linked below IPCamPower...

Can I change the IP address from the cameras webpage?

I have already installed and changed 6 cameras but it has been a couple years since then. I know I haven’t used ipconfig tool to change them in the past. Can I simply go to 192.168.1.108 and go to the TCP/IP settings pages within the camera and change the up there to something else? I can’t...

    User error with Dahua NVR5216-4KS2

Is your computer in that picture in the same network range as the NVR? If it’s not then that might explain why you can’t access your nvr when going to its IP address.
