Looks like the Reolink is the popular choice. Amcrest is not as much liked due to video quality and reliability. How about the Hikvision DS-HD?

I seem to have more and more issues with a DS-2CD2542FWD-IWS. What would be a replacement that would fit in place on top of my mount. Similar optical characteristics, I believe I have a 4mm lens. I still need WiFi at this location. But hopefully the newer one would have a bit better Wifi.

Probably. I think I might figured out the cause. But might end up with trade-off? I have the "reset detector when" on at 67%. I switched this on as a recommendation to reduce triggers caused by light change (i.e. cloud moving or similar)

I see two blue rectangles in camera trigger settings. 1.) small one which I though represents size exceeds. currently set to rather small. A squirrel will trigger it. 2.) a larger rectangle, perhaps about 75% of image area. I do not use "object travels"

I checked, I am not using zones (radio box is disabled). Should trigger then use full image? Or do I need to swothc on zone and select all?

Hi, I noticed that some of my cam's do no longer movement at the edge of camera view. Checked the camera "Motion sensor" settings and noticed that the the blue trigger rectangle is smaller than camera view for some cams. Not really sure why. I don't think this was the case with old BlueIris...

My primary concern is working video during power outages. Everything else is backed up, incl. the WiFi AP's.

Actually, I got lucky. Due to the bad power supply the reset did not take. Just need a power supply. BTW. Was always wondering why nobody makes such power supplies with a mini UPS built in.

The power supply was bad. Now I need to go through the joy of reconfiguration of the camera and if that works I need to get a new power supply.

I don't need to be at this price point. The Amcrest would have a slightly larger viewing angel compared to the FI9831W. I am assuming IR and image woudl be equal or better. Only concern is the lack of the external antenna since I had issues with the Hikvision's. Don't know about distributors for...
