For what it's worth: I started this thread. Since then, 2 years ago, I had time on my hands and wired my whole house with ethernet. As soon as I plugged just one of my Foscams in via ethernet, all bandwidth problems went away. I'm pretty sure there will never be an acceptable reason why...

Am wondering why my BI video recording isn't triggering by sound. BI supposedly can "use motion or audio sensing to trigger recording," per a Google search, so I guess I have something set up wrong. Video recording triggered by motion works fine, but my BI isn't triggering for just sound...

Before: Intel(R) Core(TM2) Duo CPU 3 GHz. 640 x 480. Vids ran about 3 to 10 fps. (same as with new computer). It still runs crappy with only 4 cams enabled. Haven't tried 2.

Understood. Am wondering why disabling the cameras in BI doesn't open up the bandwidth, and that I have to shut down BI completely to free up the bandwidth. If I assume it's because the cameras are still running whether disabled in BI or not, then they would still be running when BI is shut...

I'll look into the specs. Yes, MPEGs. I can run the wiring; just don't have that great of a need to go through the effort. The cams are more for watching the dogs when we're away, than for security. They work well enough for that usually, and it's not a biggie to shut down BI when we're home...

I can do that, shortly. I must be dense. I am choosing either Profile 1 or Profile 2 (not Preset 1 or 2), and I am expecting that profile to stay active until I choose another profile. It does so, during the day. The schedule is not enabled, ever. I'm guessing that that is the problem, but...

Well, Profile 1 is "Away" and Profile 2 is "Home." I click "1" when I leave and I click ""2" when I return. I never engage the blue stop watch ("hold profile") to the left of my profile choices. Am running BI 3.66.00.

I don't know what I did, but on the main BI view showing "cameras", all camera views used to be the same size. Now I have one big view and 3 tiny views (for the 3 other cameras). What'd I do & how can I fix?

None of my cameras are working for audio. Either in live view or recorded. They are all Foscams. I can understand one or maybe two going dead (for audio) all at once, but not four of them.
