    Thanks so much for your response and input - I had actually had the thought of creating a VLAN or testing a new access point and essentially tricking Blue Iris into thinking the NVR was acting as the router.     I think you have read it wrong...Blue Iris is deemed to be the best IMO.! Also, this system is for a home, not commercial.
