Well finally got the first product, went ahead and got a 12mp just to see what it could do in well lit retail environment. To my surprise they are not backwards compatible with Dahua NVRs like Flir was when Dahua took them over. Only Onvif support and only in sub stream of D1 even though NVR... -

59 was replaced by 6, if the cable companies need to go further distances they use 11. You could use cat6 with epoe switch/nvr and camera or if your gate is powered run fiber- Underhill

If you drop another nvr in there you can have redundancy by linking channels from the other one so if someone stole the primary or burnt the house down you’ll still have footage on the other one.- Underhill
