    Local ip/domain should be ok. Also as I wrote in my post 26th of march, DMSS still gives a possibility to add S/N P2P device when not logged in - it just first asks to log in, but gives a possibility to skip it with "maybe later".

    I can confirm this, just tested in a phone which did not had DMSS installed previously. Installed it from play store and could add device without logging in. "Maybe later" was there - as it should.

    True! In the newest version this has been changed back, there is indeed maybe later-button. Better than nothing, but not good if logging in is mandatory in start.

    This is indeed big problem, as it seems that with certain devices (like my XVR) the functionality is worse when device is on account. For example, in account mode there is no notifications from IVS events, but only from motion detect events. This was confirmed by Dahua support.

    Yes indeed! With the new update, playback button is back in the event list! Also zoom buttons have been added in the horizontal PTZ control mode. Finger gestures are however still gone.

    You are right. Checked quickly two cameras, basic IPC-HDBW2241E-S has only 16000 on AAC and PCM, but IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV has even 64000.     I tried also the same device as "device on account" but didn't manage to get any notifications at all. I also noticed that the notification setup is different when using "device on account". For example there is no time schedule for notifications.

    I find it easier to keep control of the devices when they are added just locally per Android device. I also often add end customers devices temporarily when adding cameras or making other adjustments, it's lot easier just adding SN, user and pass than fiddle with accounts.

    Sorry, I was not clear enough. Locally, so that I am not logged in the app, I meant. IP/domain works but S/N (P2P) with QR-code or manually not. Log-in message just pops out.

    Noticed this too. I can zoom out but not zoom in. Pinch out or in, it is always zoom out.

    Also adding devices locally is not possible anymore. Tapping plus opens directly log-in and it can not be skipped.

    No, gestures are totally gone. Pinch/punch does nothing, and moving left/right just moves to next channel in DMSS. Vertical mode is ok, it's just that the picture is quite small.

    In my Android phone this is just digitally zooming picture, not actually controlling PTZ optical zoom.

    Yes, joystick control works for pan/tilt, but where is zoom in horizontal mode? I have to switch to vertical mode to get (+) and (-) buttons visible. Also it is not possible to control pan/tilt/zoom with finger gestures anymore. I'm using Android.

    1. seems to happen only with my home XVR5216AN-X-16P. When there is a notification from other NVR, there is a playback button.

    Good points indeed @steve1225 ! Haven't thought about the possibility of mobile client leak. In some cases they are indeed logged in as admin. Only 1/5 of these has smartpss installed, so mobile client could be the culprit here.

    Just found out this week that some of my customers NVRs were probably hacked. Two are clearly hacked: users vclubsql and roman have been added. Three cases are unclear: updates and config users have been added. Does NVR add config+updates itself during update or could those been hacked as well...
