My guess is you force it you brick it.. Sure can be recovered most times.. Trying to update I am going to guess it will just fail.. About your other cameras.. I personally would buy a different housing and remove the guts from the Dome cameras and enter them into a larger then life housing... -

I screwed up...broke the plastic part that accepts the rj45 jack
Yes as in picture, most come setup so the parts can connect even to cables with ends already in place like yours. Adding that part will keep the 2 ends together. Good news is the important part is still there. Now take the Water proof cap, Take the screw part put over the cable, now take the rubber gasket and put on in front and slide the boot over. Put the rubber in the end with all the teeth and loosely tighten the screw part, Then slide into the RJ45...- Revo2Maxx

Can't seem to connect an Axis camera to Annke NVR
As stated double check that ONVIF is enabled and if your camera is like mine you might want to also enable Adaptive Stream.. If I don't enable that on my Axis camera I can add the camera to my NVR but it will kick off all other cameras because the stream is to much of my Amcrest or Dahua NVRs...- Revo2Maxx
