    Click in to live view on a camera in DMSS. At the top right is the settings button—> notifications—>verify notifications is on and trip wire is selected. Do this in each camera. If it is already like this, try turning notifications off—>close DMSS—> then turn notifications and trip wire back on.

    Most people have cameras mounted on the house facing out. Some will also have a camera facing towards their door in case they hear someone at the door or if a package was delivered. That camera is for my front door/packages.

    Can you setup Open VPN on the network the NVR is on? Then you could install Open VPN on your laptop and do it that way. There’s a few more steps if you decide to go that route.

    Because you are adjusting the camera so the video type is video stream. Hopefully you aren’t running the rest of those settings on your camera that are in that picture.
