    Blue Iris setup and tweaking

I suggest playing around for a couple weeks to see how much you can get done yourself. My opinion is if you're not willing to learn to setup yourself, customizing it later will be exponentially harder, then fine tuning ever harder. There's no best setting, but there's a best setting for you...

T5442 "Signal: failed to connect" every system reboot

My BI system with 7 cameras seems to like rebooting randomly every few weeks, which I'm okay with. But one T5442 camera gives me a "Signal: failed to connect" after every reboot. I'll manually do a soft reboot on the camera and the connect comes back up immediately. None of my other cameras...

Blue Iris CPU options - Dell Optiplex i5-6600 or i7-7700 or i5-8500? Recommendations?

I'm running blue iris on an i5-6600 8GB ram. 7x 4mp cameras. 1 24/7 record, others record on motion. CPU usually running at 15% with plenty of ram to spare. I'll likely add a 4k camera later this year just because I like tinkering with gadgets.

HOLY CRAPOLY, You're a genius. Even though my NVR allowed me to select H265, I never realized it wasn't supported. Tried reverting to H264 and everything works perfectly now. You're my hero!!!

bought new 5442 for flir NVR. and now the headaches.

I've tried with with and without substream, and at different resolutions and FPS. no luck. after 4days of troubleshooting, I'm going to conclude my NVR is just too old (latest firmware is from 2019). I currently have my 5442 connected direct to my router and my NVR sees it as an external...

bought new 5442 for flir NVR. and now the headaches.

I had it reduced to a supported resolution at 20fps, and as far down as 1080p and it's still not working. I know my NVR supports 5MP upto 20FPS. If I leave the 5442 at 5MP 30FPS, neither the NVR or remote login will work because it's obviously not supported. and I tried reducing to 5 FPS for...

bought new 5442 for flir NVR. and now the headaches.

Hi all, got a 5442 and tried connecting it to my flir NVR (DNR408s). initiallized the 5442, then plug into NVR. Camera comes up on the list, I add camera, input password, and camera shows connected, I can play around with settings, set zones, everything. EXCEPT there's no video to the NVR...
