Adoption issue with NVR pro Ubiquiti

The logs on the NVR side should be good enough to at least point you in the right direction. And if not there may be an option on the NVR to use SSH which will let you see even more details in the logs.

Adoption issue with NVR pro Ubiquiti

Is it the same camera always being disconnected or randomly? What's your poe consumption like? You might be hitting the limit.

VLAN isolation still permitting net traffic

I'm not sure what setting up a vpn has to do with preventing your vlan hitting the internet. Perhaps if you tell us what model router you're using we can confirm the settings etc.

How Do I configure Nikvision NVR to add several remote cameras using a POE switch?

How many cameras in total are you trying to add? That NVR can only accept up to 16 cameras regardless of how you connect them.

Which 180 degree camera to pick + other questions

Is the camera at default settings for everything? Have you made any changes at all yet? What are the settings? I would first look at testing this in another location and seeing if the issue resolves itself in which case it is something in the field of view and the settings that are not working...

Nothing handy. There's a few users of that camera (and other OEM versions of it) on the forums. They might find this thread and link some vids.

Which 180 degree camera to pick + other questions

For the price of it, it's actually a really good camera. I wouldn't worry so much about the sensor size though because unlike the others you mention, this a 6mp camera (2 x 3mp), so those sensors (which are actually 1/2.5 according to the specs) are just fine for 3mp. I have one in my backyard...

    16 port switch rec

it's important that you don't just look at the total wattage output for poe. you need to also look at how many watts it can manage per port because it's not always evenly split over the total number of ports.

    16 port switch rec

Why would you buy some random no name brand product that can't even provide easily readable information relating to the performance of the switch? Just say gigabit.

    16 port switch rec

Never heard of it before now but it sounds like a potentially useful thing. On the other hand if you have a device that is being rebooted frequently you may not realise that it actually has issues.

The no fan requirement might be a bit tricky due to most rackmount gear comes with fans. Is there a reason you don't want a fan? TP Link do a range of good quality switches.

Shouldn't a new HDD be in a Western Digital box?

    100mbit vs gigabit switch

Switches also have limits on their bandwidth beyond just the port speed. They have to be able to process the data being sent through it as well. The cheaper lower spec 100mbs switches might actually have less overall bandwidth which can cripple your network when you load it up with 14 cameras...

    Unifi Teleport

I've never had any issues accessing what I need to however I've only ever tried to access devices via IP address. If you're trying hostnames you may need to look at your DNS settings and/or traffic & firewall rules to allows certain traffic between the two networks.
