    Appreciate all the advice. Stings the ego a bit to make such a mess of the install, but it beats pulling a new cable in 6 months. I got a jbox along with the 3/4 gland. I couldn't find any 1/2 reducers for any reasonable price so I'm going to try and use the rubber grommet from an old camera's...

    Wall mount without a soffit is always a bit more challenging. I usually wrap the whip around the mount arm bullet cameras but I'm using a turret. So, I cut off the unused mic cable and the POE connection is exposed to elements (but inside water proof connector). Anyone had any moisture issues...
