Adding cameras to Smart PSS and NVR

OK Thanks I'm just playing with that link to web button and at first it wasn't working and gave message "cannot map ports" but now it seems to be working OK and shows this in the browser http://127.0.0.1:43679/?rtspport=43683&tcpport=43675 for the NVR and http://127.0.0.1:43667/ for a camera

I don't think that's possible with this 4g router and my only option from what I can see is using P2P

Adding cameras to Smart PSS and NVR

Hikvision email set up v Dahua

I'll give the Gmail another go . I did manage to get a real IP on the router and can log into it on port 80 and also managed to get port 8081 to work on a camera but there's something not right with it so I'll just use the hik connect for remote

Hikvision email set up v Dahua

After the Hikvision purge I did get Gmail working but I think they stopped the less secure device option I also tried to get port forwarding to work on my new 4g LTE router with out much luck as I think they only allow certain ports even DMZ didn't work so I'll just keep my old Hikvision on my...

Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

I watched a few videos on Youtube about resetting NVR's to default . If they don't have a reset button on the board there is a pair of connections one is square and the other is round with 3volts and they just connect them for a few seconds

IMOU CRUISER SE - is this dahua cam compatible with Blue Iris?

I have a Cruiser 2 and managed to connect it to a Imou NVR and a Dahua NVR which are pretty much the same thing but connecting to a Hikvision NVR no way could I ge it to work on that. From what I can figure those cameras are restricted in features to make you buy cloud storage. Smart PSS works...

    Email not working

I need to take one of the HIK cameras off the NVR and try it direct with Gmail in case the NVR is causing problems maybe there is some port settings that need a change. I think my hosting company have screwed things up as they were taken over recently and everything worked fine before. This...

    Email not working

Just bought a cheap Tenvis IP camera and tested the email sending with a Gmail account and it works fine once I turned off the "less secure apps" settings in Gmail account. Put the exact same settings in the HIK camera and it won't connect to the test server so this is a HIK issue. I tried the...

    Email not working

OK so everything was working fine and all the HIK cameras were sending email pictures. Then I got an HIK NVR which works fine but shortly after my site host was taken over and upgraded the servers and now email does not work and I tried every combination of ports usernames and server name etc...

    Latest Cameras and software

So I bought a used ASUS router and set it up and apart from the ability to have openVPN it's no better than the Linksys 320N. Wireless signal seems slightly better but keeps dropping out and I can't get the USB drive to set up with the camera NAS. Linksys sets up easy and allows you to partition...

    General camera and system security

I gotta avoid extra complications around here but I watched the video along with lots of other tutorial youtube vids. I'll upgrade my main house router to the Asus and add a large capacity USB harddrive too it. The feature I like about the Hikvision cameras is the ability to record/retain a few...

    General camera and system security

I looked at the ASUS router which seems the only one that you can run the OpenVPN software others require 3rd party firmware which I can't be bothered with.My main router acts as the DHCP server all the others are set to bridge mode and once in bridgemode lot's of featues are unavailable so I...

    General camera and system security

I have a about 9 cameras covering several buildings and due to the distances involved about 200 metres from the main internet router I have about 8 Linksys WAG320N set to bridge mode. These routers act as wireless access points and have a USB port that you plug in a hard drive for recording...

I just checked the firmware on my cameras and they are all 5.2.0 Is there extra functionality or improvement worth upgrading for as I'm not really bothered if the chinese hack the cameras. I've recently been using the cameras to find out where the mice are getting in the house so not really...
