Might be, these where really cheap cables. I took them out, i can´t see any defective areas. I replaced all cables now with cat 6 and all cam´s work as expected (i had problems with 2 cam´s on the 20 meter cables before).

If i use the Player both files are on local disk. GUI and SmartPSS have to get the data from NVR-Disk. As other people mentioned, if the play it on the NVR it is also fine. That is also local disk to the NVR.

It is a strange behavior. It looks like on the motion record it is not pre-recording (the 4 seconds). But at least on both records combined i am loosing no video. Just a short flicker when it switches to the md. Best would be to just set a flag and keep on recording.

With my Onvif cams i cant get any snapshots out of my Dahua NVR´s. It took a while to find that out.

these HP-Switches provide 12,95 Watt to the cam. The standard is IEEE 802.af PoE+ has 21,9 Watt. So it should be ok with normal cameras.

i have a Gigabit-Switch for all the networking. As i will get Dahua cam´s very soon and i want to use their POE capability, i bought this poe injector for now. If i buy a new NVR i maybe ge one with POE ports.
