thanks fenderman and bp2008. my system i'm running is a i7 quad core but with onboard VGA. at most i'll be running is 6 cams.. so should be ok. if not i'll just add an external vga card to it. bp2008: have you seen any good deals on cams?

i'd like to mount 3 outdoors and 3 indoors. i've been using one of my foscam 8910w as outdoor since it's under a roof and away from the elements. been using it for 3yrs now..

currently i only have foscam 8910W running and as many of you know the resolution on that is crappy at best. i'm looking for some other cams to add to my blueiris setup. prefer something that is wireless so it's easier to setup. i've seen soem $20 range ipcam that's PEO which looks great, but...

oh.. hehe.. got it. :) i still need to find a firewall that will work with blue iris. zone alarm let's blueiris pass from time to time. comodo let's it pass 100% of the time but sluggish as hell on my x64 system i7 system. :(

thanks to fenderman's help, i was able to setup blue iris on my system and got it to work via iphone app too. now the question is, are there a noobie guide to setting up/customizing BI so it doesn't fill up my HDD like crazy.. which i just now found out the reason why my comp is sluggish...

i have comcast and using zone alarm. i just snoozed the zone alarm for 5 mins and i can access the blueiris machine and see my cams. i even went into zone alarm and manually added blue iris to super user and enable trust and still doesn't work. any other firewall you'd suggest? EDIT: i...

ok i've added the ip address of the blue iris PC and refresh the router. and from iphone app, when i disconnect from wifi, i don't see anything. is there something i need to change in there? do i need to run the remote access wizard in the blue iris? when i get to here in the remote access...

i'm on iphone.. and just bought it. i've logged in from the app and currently iphone on wifi and can see all cams. what's next? also what port should i set each cams to?

i don't have the blue iris app. before i only used IP Cam viewer to see my foscam at home from wifi. is it needed? as i see one version for $10 and another for $5. any slickdeal on that? i've posted what it looks like for port forwarding in my asus router.
