Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

My home network uses the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet while the default Dahua IP is in the 192.168.1.0/24 one. I just added another IP to my PC which is located there so e.g. 192.168.2.2 and 192.168.1.2. This allows me to access the cam after a factory reset without leaving my chair :) Maybe a similar...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Odd... In theory re-flashing shouldn't make a difference but might be worth trying. Of course takes a while to get all settings back in. For me loading works without error message BUT I found another setting, related to shutter, whichsxeems to have changed unexpectedly too. will give both...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I went to the Dahua January '22 firmware and then back to the one Andy provided. A reboot doesn't impact the IVS settings with the Dahua one, however Andy pointed out there are other bugs. For now I'm back to the one he provided and deal with the problem in two ways. First, reloading the saved...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Ah, thanks. So here's another update. I followed the update procedure Wildcat_1 recommends and moved to the firmware @EMPIRETECANDY provided. I also uninstalled the plugins and cleared the browser cache. After manually setting up everything the same way as in the morning with the Dahua...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I run your software on all other cams but to get closer to the root cause of my above mentioned problem I just wanted to double check. From @looney2ns posted screenshot I got the impression he's running the Dahua firmware too as the device string starts with DH vs IPC on mine. I will downgrade...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

An update... I upgraded to the latest available firmware version provided by Dahuas website and the problem is gone now. However I unfortunately made two changes. The upgrade and the naming of the IVS areas and tripwire rules. I left it with the defaults while I usually do rename them such as...

Almost identical beside the device type. Is yours a 3.6mm focal length too? I didn't upload any firmware after I received the cam some days ago from Andy

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Oh, thanks, would have never checked there. Followed your advise. I removed the two installed plugins, restarted Chrome with IE-Tabs, cleared all history, rebooted cam and restarted the browser. Now I logged in but didn't load the plugin so no picture yet. Rebooted the cam and restarted the...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Thanks for the suggestions. I did clear the browser cache when I tried this afternoon. Also checked IE for installed plugins but the list was empty beside some Microsoft ones. Would you mind pointing me to the location where plug-ins are stores or to a recipe to get rid of them? I remember...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

@wittaj I fully agree with your comments on the H.265 codec. Using on the cams created more problems than benefit for me too. E.g. scenes with short gras moving become blurry quickly and often there are visual effect that reoccur on every I-frame interval as long as bandwidth isn't set to high...

    Dahua config backup encrypted?

Just to share some findings. My cam identifies as IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2-3.6mm in settings/information/version but to decrypt the key needs to be IPC-HDBW5441FP-AS-E2. So just shortened the string and added a "P" as it's the PAL version. Maybe this applies to other cams too.

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

Thanks @looney2ns! Followed your recommendation and it works great. However I need to correct my above statement. The issue of disappearing IVS rules is reproducible with IE11, Chrome+IE-Tabs or Pale Moon. The steps to reproduce are: Starting of with the working setup. IVS as in attached...

Review-Dahua/EmpireTech Dual lens IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2 (The Boobie Cam Upgrade)

I'm curious what happens tomorrow when IE reaches EOL. Will Microsoft still allow me to use it or enable a forced forward towards EDGE? However, I use Pale Moon 32bit as replacement and for all of my 5442s and 3241-ZAS it works great but there's one issue with the 5441F. It allows me to setup...

    My intro

Hi, I've been reading many of the forum posts over the past weeks while setting up my new home surveillance system. More at the lower end budget wise but I'm quite happy for now having replaced the old Arlo battery powered one by Blue Iris combined with POE cameras Thanks for all the information...

accessing two streams through RTMP and RTSP in parrallel possible?

Dear all I'm Thomas and new to the forum at least posting wise. I recently managed to get Blue Iris working nicely at my home based on many of your postings. Thanks for that! Currently 4 Reolink 810A and 822A are in use and I'm quite happy with them after applying the latest firmware. For each...
