    UNIFI—The Best Option...?

No - it is the AI Port AI Port - Ubiquiti Store it enables AI detection and audio for 3rd party cameras. Not sure if it will fix image quality issues by going through that, maybe but not sure. And you can only use this with a limited number of cameras depending on their resolution. 5 Ubiquiti...

    UNIFI—The Best Option...?

100% spot on. And I was very hopeful too and happy to hear about onvif support until I realized they really don't want people to use their own cameras and would make the experience bad to the point you would have to buy their own cameras to make a Protect installation worth it. Their G6...

    UNIFI—The Best Option...?

Would love to see comparison between a 5442 and Unifi's newer G6 cameras, and even their more expensive 4k cameras. Surprised no one has done it already, would make people realize Unifi cameras, despite getting better on paper, are still not great - practically giving up image quality for nice...

P2P isn't the same as Cloud and here is why

Does anyone use P2P? I know it's the first thing I see when setting up a Dahua camera in which case I automatically disable it. If I need to access the camera, it's through a Wireguard VPN

    Trench fiber, cat6 etc

Ubiquiti's wireless point to point bridges would also work and maybe even be the best solution for this case if it's cameras you are just interested in connecting. But wired is better than wireless obviously and since you already trenched it, no point in considering that. Fiber is better for...

    PTZ up control stuck

They are Dahua/Andy cameras. I don't see the issue with two other computers so it seems like it's just mine. Weird seeing the issue on multiple browsers.

Fixed by clearing cache. Disregard, it worked but on reload it doesn't. Nice

    PTZ up control stuck

My PTZ 'up' control is active so every ptz I click into just goes up. This was with new updates so switching back to stable fixed it but now on the stable version, it is happening again? This is happening on multiple browsers. Has anyone experienced this before?

    FTP backup / off-site backup

I have an FTP server (also supports SMB) that ideally would want to record in addition of going to the 'New' folder. If not possible, at least back up clips per camera basis. I have been looking at Blue Iris Cloud because I am sure it's the same sort of setup and for this I have a couple of...

Squirrel gets hit by a car and dies

Reminds me of footage I got of the same thing, then gets dragged and eaten by Eagles or whatever they were... Was pretty funny to see every time a car drove past, they moved to the side of the road until it was clear lol

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

The whole language of this article points to the fact they weren't really going to support it, and mentions onvif support is so you slowly replace cameras with theirs which means downgrade to their cameras for many of us.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Turns out having the NVR right on my camera vlan solved the problem.

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Yup, thought about that and used an account that blue iris already uses. Also made another account under onvif and still same thing. My one reolink camera gets the same error as well, not sure if it's because my cams on on another vlan but the fact I get a login error seems like they are still...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

How were you able to add cameras? I tried the manual adoption to add Dahua cameras but I keep getting "Invalid credentials. Please check and try again."

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Just purchased their 4 bay NVRs, onvif support in early access had me sold. Probably a little risky but I get a free camera out of it (G4 Bullet, G4 Pro if you purchase the 7 bay version) so that helped pull the trigger. See what happens...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Wow already? Thought it was at least take awhile to be confirmed at least. Do PTZ controls work?

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I am likely to immediately purchase their NVR once support for this comes out, if it doesn't go out of stock right after which I suspect it will. I have been asking for this for a year now.

BlueIris can only connect to cams with old password after changing it

That was it! Found out before your reply after discovery on my backup NVR/Shinobi could only access with old password and that is when I logged and and checked again that I saw the new tab. Thanks for the speedy response.

BlueIris can only connect to cams with old password after changing it

Just updated a couple of cameras with a different password. I can log in correctly using this new password, however BlueIris fails to connect to them with the following error. I have updated the password for them on Blue Iris. What's really odd is if I use the old password, it works despite...

Stuck trying to select cameras for someone else

I actually haven't even spoke to them yet, but was notified about some type of camera installation and I am under the assumption that I am selecting hardware. At the very least, I will be running cables and mounting cameras. To clarify, it's not exactly a friend of a family member, just more...

Stuck trying to select cameras for someone else

To start off, I have a similar setup to what most people have on here (BI, Andy cams etc.) and it's a good and secure setup. My friends and family know it's good, maybe better than a lot of "standard" residential cctv crap. I was asked to do a setup for a family member's friend (selecting...

    BlueIris and CPAI on Proxmox

Excuse me for not reading through the post, but I will just add here. I have BI running on a Proxmox machine (12900k, 128GB DDR5 ECC). It runs great and didn't have to worry about tinkering with things because the CPU is pretty good. I have 16 vcores assigned to it which is overkill but that...

How to enable two-way talk with T180?

Just got a IPC-Color4K-T180 and I am struggling to get the mic working with it on BlueIris. I understand you can't do it in UI3 at this time which is fine, but on the app the microphone button is grayed out. My user on blue iris does have audio/talk checked, and the mic on the camera is...
