Thanks I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be unchecked or checked. So I kept testing with both. It's weird because if an object comes from left or right it will record. But far away objects in which the camera starts to zoom it does not record.

Did you ever resolve this. I'm having the same issue. I have an AI based PTZ camera and when it follows cars it stops recording.

So I ended up replacing these QCAM's with HikVisions's yesterday. It works fine now. I'm guessing those are just cheap cameras?

No wifi at all. Cameras are hardwired to gigabit switch and then I think it hits a 10/100 to another 10/100 then to my PC running Blue Iris.

Great! I knew there had to be a way to do this. So just simple add a camera with duplicate settings but configure it for the alerts? My CPU is already taxed pretty hard. Does hiding it help with this at all or am I going to overload it?
