Okay. I got it installed, but I think my python command is python3. and so pip is pip3.

Is it just "prettytable" now?

I spent most of the evening trying to calibrate the camera to capture license plates. Here's a clip at 1/2500 shutter speed and sharpness at 1. I did not change sharpness CNT, gamma, or illuminator strength. I think I need to adjust those and also improve the focus.

Success! @weigle2 had a very informative post on another thread. Essentially, I changed "installed mode" to "inverted" under "General -> System" settings tab. This camera is so awesome.

@wittaj In the GUI, there is "View Angle Mode" and it is set to "Auto" and there are no other options in the drop down list. I believe I can override this using the Dahua http api to change the "FlipMode" from "Auto" to something else. The problem is I don't know what that should be. I've tried...

There is a "View Angle Mode" in the Conditions -> Picture settings section. But there is only one option "Auto". I don't see anything like "Flip" any where. But I will keep looking.

Good news! The T568B pinout worked. For the benefit of anyone else who might be dealing with a similar issue in the future. I put a male RJ45 connector on the cable. Originally there was a female connector (which is what the contractor broke). I've order the waterproof male-to-male coupler...

I cut open the broken RJ45 to look at the wiring scheme. It is pretty clear that the white/orange and orange go pins 1 and 2 indicating that the camera's layout is T568B. So I'm going to put a male connector on the remaining cable and see if I can get the camera working from the POE+ switch.

I'm seeing conflicting info on which pinout to use on the Dahua camera. Does anyone know which is correct? Given my camera's wires, I think it must be T568A or T568B. But I also read that 802.3at cameras have to be compatible with both POE+ mode A and mode B so that it might not matter.

My camera has the standard eight cat5/6 wires--see photo below. Am I correct in understanding that I need to use the T568A layout because this is a Dahua camera?
