True, I guess it’s tough to accept that not every plate is gonna be read, I am impressed with how many poor images it’s gets correct.

Funny as my wife said to clean the lense and I blew her off, I did clean it today.

Updated settings, clear capture is from a clean yellow plate and the bad one is about 15 mins later on a newer salted covered white NY plate.

This camera was working great at night until about halfway through winter, I figured it was the salt on the plates, but I think my setting on the camera got messed up. Not the OP and this was the test install, I have since mounted a box to the tree with the camera, also put camo tape on the box, makes the camera blend in nicely.

Night capture, little traffic for me to experiment with, going to play around with the settings some more.

Camera is on the tree on the far right, my initial goal was to caputre the vehicle between my driveway and my neighbors. This is more zoom, better? Zoomed out view of the roadway.
